Hey Guys,
I was on the call today with Lucid Customer Care folks about a 2022 used GT that I am purchasing; he mentioned that Lucid now offers extended warranty under certain conditions.


Additionally, I got conflicting information about the transferability of the DreamDrive Pro from the original owner to the new owner. One representative told me it is transferable, and the other told me it isn’t. Which is true?

Could the second person have confused Lucid with Tesla?

This intrigued me, as we bought a used Air Dream Edition to replace our original one that got wrecked. As we almost never use Dream Drive, I just assumed it had Dream Drive Pro, which was standard on all Dream Editions.

However, I just looked at the settings menu on the Pilot Screen, and it read only "DreamDrive". I don't remember if the original car displayed "DreamDrivePro." I opened the Owner's Manual, and it made no mention of DreamDrive Pro except for one sentence saying that DreamDrive Premium and DreamDrive Pro features were only available in some regions.

Does someone with DreamDrive Pro know whether the screen and owner's manual mention DreamDrive Pro specifically under any heading or text on the screen or in the manual?
 
The car currently have 3442 miles

The original warranties (8 years / 100,000 miles on the battery pack and drive train and 4 years / 50,000 miles on the rest of the car) will definitely transfer. However, an "extended warranty" means something different. It doesn't mean transferring the warranty to a subsequent owner but extending it beyond the original factory warranty, even if you're the original owner.

No; the settings all say DreamDrive. The place you’d see it is on the Lucid Motors website.

Log in, scroll down to “Upgrades” and click it. Under “Available”, mine says “You have no available upgrades at this time.” Under “My Upgrades” it lists both DDP and SSP.

I don’t know how to do it otherwise.
 
I logged into the lucidmotors website. I must be missing something. I do not see any section for upgrades. Any tips?

As a note, I have absolutely no idea what used vehicle owners see - I have only ever bought a Lucid new.

i am purchasing a pre-owned 2022 with just under two years of warranty bumper-to-bumper warranty and hoping to expand that.
So they only offer an extended warranty if you are purchasing a used vehicle from them? What about owners who bought new vehicles previously and want any extended warranty now?

Unfortunately, despite many requests from me, Lucid has never updated my account to show the DE I currently have. It still shows the original car that was later wrecked as the DE I own.

I wouldn't expect any upgrades to show as available, as all the Dream Editions had every option as standard equipment. What I am wondering is whether Lucid might have disabled the Pro features when the car I now have changed hands. As @DeaneG alluded to, maybe the OP just triggered my paranoia about some of the stunts I've seen Tesla pull during my nine years of owning them.

Yeah - I don’t think they presently have a way to show used vehicles via that interface.

I think that sucks.

Even though my recent service records show the current car, they will still sometimes issue a service ticket with the original VIN on it, so I'm apparently going to live with the ghost of that first DE forever by my side.

I don't have DD pro and don't lave features such as lane dhange assist or curb rash protection available. But if you have DD pro, those features will be available for you I am thinking. Also I believe curb rash protection can be turned off or on in your DD menu.

Thanks. Curb rash protection and lane change assist were on the activation menu in the car, so I guess DD Pro is active.
 
I have DD Pro but just saw that the Curb Rash Alert option is not available -- the button is greyed out, with the message that this feature is not available.
Has anyone had this problem in their GTs'?

Go out in the daytime. It turns off automatically in low-light conditions such as night or in a garage.

In the daytime, it will turn on and be available. If it isn't, have service check it out.
 
Didn’t all 2022 GTs have ddp/ssp? Also - makes sense that if original owner had it enabled, it will be enabled from then on - regardless of owner. It’s not a subscription, it’s a one time ‘conversion’ (how I understand it). (Likewise, if the car has the hardware but original owner did it enable it, future owners can)
