Extend current lease from 18 to 24 months?

Hello

This is my first time leasing so not sure about this, is it possible to extend the lease from my 18months to 24 with the same terms? Or just better off turning it in?

Not sure if you were already answered but my lease contract has a provision which allows me to request them to extend the contract by 5 months. This is what I have:

D. LEASE EXTENSION. You do not have a right to a lease extension. You may request the Lessor to extend the term of your
Lease and Lessor may agree to that extension, provided, however, that in no event may the cumulative period of all extensions
exceed 5 months. If Lessor agrees to an extension, the Lessee must agree to the extension by executing a written extension
agreement.
