Electrify America Charged me today

Yep. I tried it 2 days after the 3-year mark last month and I was charged $0.00
The whole thing was an experiment at our only EA location.
They charge $0.56 kWh (which is ludicrously high) and the fastest charging rate of these 350 kWh chargers was bout 70 kWh.
Still, the handshake worked with the VIN. I guess it's good in a pinch. My rate at home is (still rather high) $0.17 kWh. Best to just do it at home.

EA’s in LA Arles truly high. I’ve seen .78/kWh but the picture of last night is .64/kWh…

No difference to gas at these rates… also note that this is starting at 27% SOC…..F**km*

My arithmetic must be off. I don’t believe my three years will be up until October of this year.

Your math is correct - you took delivery in Oct '22? Should have free charging until October of this year. Have they started charging you at EA already?

Charging at super chargers should be used while travelling or as a last resort. I am sure your home cost per KW is still more reasonable. I pay $0.16 per kw at home. And besides, $48 is still a little cheaper than gas.

Would like to do a ground installation for same reasons. Not really concerned about expense as much as being part of the change the world needs to see.

Finished this project in my side yard last year. By no means a sound investment for me personally but as you say, it feels good to be part of the change and it feels great driving around free-ish.

Charging at super chargers should be used while travelling or as a last resort. I am sure your home cost per KW is still more reasonable. I pay $0.16 per kw at home. And besides, $48 is still a little cheaper than gas.

Depends on if you were using premium 91 or regular…. I fueled my S550 with regular… knock it or try it

As the so called free charging for which we probably paid upfront whn we bought the car ends for all EVs on the road, I sould asume that demad to charge at DCFC will fall when we charge at home.. I would not ber surprised if they lower the price or lose revenue. Let us how the elasticity of price vs demand works.

100%, I’ve charged +/-6,187 kWh over the last 23 months of free charging so so the .68 per/kWh so +/-$4,207 of free charging.

I paid for the Dolby Atmos and other extras, which later became “Air Credits” after I took delivery. So I figure I paid for my charging and then some!!

its painful to hear how someone can charge at home for $0.18... wow. we pay $0.45/kwh here in Norcal.. as much as some of the EA and supercharger rates. no discount for driving an EV here, as much as $5/gallon gas. and my GT has never gotten above 2.88m/kw, im not sure how people are getting 3 miles or above..

granted my GT has the 21 inch wheels and average traffic speeds here are 75mph and above.. often way above.

Behind every ev charger there is a Tesla or other battery bank.As the battery prices fall, I expect gas stations to add charge stations too. We will see many business models by retailers, travel Plazas, parking lots, hotels, Coffee shops, fast food restaurants etc who already have land, power, ability to add solar etc.

Your app should say how long you have and when it started. Go to charging then Lucid charging service, then service summary.

I just got my 2025 Pure and even the delivery guy couldn’t tell me definitely if there is free EA charging. He said some customers are reporting they got it and others not the case. I’ll just have to test at an EA near my house and keep my fingers crossed.

Retail rate means no you don't have free charging, from my experience. Unfortunately. If it works let us know tho!!

I arranged my purchase mid December and was told I got 2 years free charging, sent the down payment, the car was supposed to be delivered Xmas, then before new year but didn’t arrive until Jan 4th due to one logistical screw up after the next by Lucid. No big deal though.
Or so I thought…
I charged it once on EA to test, which was free, then took a road trip 2 weeks ago and got charged by EA.
Emailed customer service who took a week to reply and they said the car was delivered after new year so no free charging.

I am ****ing furious at this point…
