Early lease buyout to get 7500$ credit

Hey everyone,

Finally getting close to a delivery and have been asked to fill out the lease application. Has anyone tried to go the early buyout route? I am planning to lease and then buyout in a few months(talking about 2-3 months) to just capture a ~$7000 reduction in cost.

I've only heard about the 450$ early disposition fee from my SA, but I have a hard time believing him. Has anyone gone this route? How did it work out for you? If not, anyone who has done any research about this topic and come to conclusion?

I can see a similar thread started in August ( https://lucidowners.com/threads/lucid-gravity-lease-buyout.13287/ ) but I wonder if there has been any more recent discussion on this to get to a clearer conclusion.

Below is from a link to a thread on this topic. Below is a key excerpt. I too would like to pay the lease off early but it seems pre 9/30 deliveries you run the risk of clawback from the IRS. As for the Lucid “credit”, not sure how that will work but I suspect you won’t have the same worries.

Is it possible to lease a lucid gravity and buy it out immediately after first/second month or does lucid not allow early buyout? If they do allow will $7500 credit be clawed back?
