Driving Awareness issues after update?

I updated to 3.6 last night, and drove my car for about 1.5 hours today, and am having issues with driving awareness not detecting my face. I don’t THINK it’s a matter of giving the car time to calibrate sensors, because I drove well over a half hour on highways so far.

Things I’ve tried:
Wiping the camera;
Adjusting the visor so the camera isn’t hit by glare
Adjusting my seat to make sure the camera sees my face (it never had issues before, but thought it was worth a try);
Reboots (2x)
Letting the car enter deep sleep and returning after 40 minutes

After letting the car deep sleep and returning, the Driving Awareness worked for about 2 minutes, then went back to saying it was disabled.

Any thoughts ? I want to make sure I’m not missing anything before I bother the service department.
 
I am also having this issue every day! I also tried all these things and its not helping. I do see that the red led lights on the distracted driver alert do not show when that pop up comes and i cant do handsfree driving.

I’m sorry to hear you’re dealing with it too, but I’m relieved I’m not the only one!

I’ve got my GGT in the shop now, and that issue is one of the (many) issues I’m having them look at. If I get any information from the service department that seems relevant, I’ll try to remember to revisit this thread and share it.
 
Not had a single issue those far. On my road trip yesterday, it only went off when I was indeed not looking at the road for more than a few seconds

Thanks! 🙏 i also did send an email out with all the details to the lucid sw team as I do not think its a sensor/hw issue. Will update this thread if i hear back from them.
 
I’m in a unique position in that I have a GGT with DDPro on 3.6, but have been driving a GT with DD on 3.6 for a week while mine is being serviced.

I had zero issues with my actual car, but am constantly nagged with the loaner. Its even applied the brakes for me in situations it shouldn’t.

I got the same issue.
Tried to disable the monitoring system, park, come back say like 20 mins or so. Then start driving and tried turning on the driver monitoring system. Now the hands free works fine but only for 2-3 minutes. Then off and kicks out from hands free!!! All this while on a 4 lane highway. Remains off till I come home and park.
Where/whom do we email this issue???

Update 1: I doubt it’s related to the driver awareness system bug, but the service center found the inverter for the front drive unit was faulty, so they have to replace the whole unit. I guess we’ll see if replacing that changes anything once I get the vehicle back 🤷‍♀️

Any success?? Is it working now??
 
I’ve been having the same issue as well on GGT. Hands free DD Pro hasn’t worked but once since 3.6 update, and have a persistent driver awareness off on the display. Did a few restarts, to no avail.
 
Do you know if the driver awareness unit is unusually warm to the touch?? I noticed it ever since my issues. Don't know if this is normal and I never noticed it before. No idea.

It starts at normal temp, but after driving for 5-10 mins i can feel it to be real warm and remains till the end of the drive.
I may be over thinking it but just an observation.

It’s always pretty warm after a few minutes. That’s pretty normal. For mine anyway since day one
