Took the car out to get lunch, got in and had the warning pop. Did a reset and it went away. When I got back home warning popped again. I plan on having service check it out, but was wondering if anyone has had a similar situation as mine? No updates since the last one a few months back.

Yes I had this around 22k miles or so. Service visit was required. My instance was "internal failure in the BMU" and they fixed it in a few days. Does not mean this is your issue but it would require a call/text/email to customer care.

Had the same thing, two days after I picked up my Touring. Would go away, but always came back. Service said it was front motor coolant pump. Replaced, error went away. Fast forward a couple of weeks, drive system warning error returned, would go away and returned much less frequently, but would eventually return. Notified service, but before I could take in to service someone hit my car and it's still at the body shop. I assume it will be resolved and taken care of by the time I get it back (I mentioned it when I dropped off my car and service was aware of that and my crash).

oh geeze...When you got it the first time, did you continue to drive it??? This is the first time I've had this happen and I'm hoping its not a big deal... I've had a few other mishaps which landed the car in the shop twice since I got it a year ago.

Yes, I continued to drive it (drive system "warning" vs drive system "fault" - which thankfully I never experienced). I think with "warnings" it's best to get it addressed ASAP, but it would not stop me from regular driving (though I'd think many times of going on a longish trip with that warning present).
