Door handle covers falling off?

Anyone experience having the painted door handle covers falling off on their Gravity? Both of the passenger side covers came off yesterday. They kind of snap back on but I am wondering if they should be glued? Kind of worried about them coming off while driving.

not really because I snapped the covers back on. but should be easy to imagine; the body color painted part of the handles is a thin plastic cover that snaps onto a thick black plastic actual door handle. and the "snaps" seems to be not super reliable so they come off

Your report is the first that I can recall on the forum. So it seems it's at least not a common failure. Did they come off as someone was trying to open the door? Or being bumped by something? Or just spontaneously?

It seems like adhesive is used on a bunch of the other body panels, and we've heard reports of Lucid replacing bits and pieces due to improperly applied adhesive. So it wouldn't surprise me to hear that your vehicle missed having adhesive applied to this part. I'd raise the issue with Lucid and ask.

yup, have a service booked for early dec for a couple of things and added this. The covers came off as someone touched them; one was me kind of brushing past it, and another was a passenger trying to open the door.

That sounds like they are supposed to have adhesive, and the factory just failed to apply it.

yup, my assumption also, as they have kept popping off every now and then.
