Cold Weather and heater comfort

Why? I mean honestly, the cars range is better than anything out there. I drive it over 75. I heat or AC to be comfortable and I charge when I have to or need too. Does any gas driver worry about how much MPG they can squeeze out...not really. You drive how you drive and pay what you have to.

Example: Say you want a BMW 7 series but it requires 92 octane, so you are you going to buy a Toyota Camary since it needs 87...no. At this price point do what you want. I am not worrying about pennies, but that is me. I am not knocking anyone, I just find it funny.

Now as for heater, I live in Atlanta winters are chilly...not like up north. I find I have to turn the fan up, but it works great.

You're not comparing apples to apples. In a gas vehicle, it's infinitely easier and faster to refuel and the vehicles generally have a greater range to begin with. If my EV had a range of 500 miles and I could charge to full in 5-10 minutes at any corner, I wouldn't care much. But that's not reality.

So, maximizing the efficiency/range of the EV is significantly more important than in a gas vehicle.... Especially when I drive 30k miles/year

It should not matter unless you need the range to make it to your next charge on a road trip, but we have charging options.

I had a Genesis GV70 EV with max 242 range at 100, ~185 at 80%. Tried the 70 mph game, it doesn't matter to me to stop 1 more time. I can find a charger.

HI I live in Boston and am picking up today a 19 inch Touring ( not grand touring) Is your car the same? I was wondering in the cold winter if I drive from Boston to NYC and I dont average more then 65MPH say what type of range/efficiency could I expect ? And any tips on increasing the range?

I get it. I was saying that for me, with the amount I drive, it's about my own efficiency with my time during the day. I also charge at home at night. But when I'm regularly driving 250+/day seeing my customers, if I don't try to maximize, I lose productivity. I'm not talking about road tripping for personal reasons. And I'm not penny pinching because I don't want to pay for a charge. It's about losing time and productivity
