Charge Port Door Will Not Open

So today I returned home from a day on the town and went to charge, but the charge port door will not open. I've tried several rounds of locking and unlocking the Gravity and nothing works. I can hear the mechanism unlock, but door won't release. It's not frozen or anything like that. I've owned my Model S for 10 years - never once did it let me down - even with an automatic charging door. Now I'm 4 weeks into ownership and I can't charge my Gravity! Anyone have any suggestions?

It sounds like the mechanism is being triggered but not actually turning the locking stem that physically unlocks the door...perhaps try applying varying degrees of pressure/wiggling on the door while locking/unlocking to see if that loosens something up to allow the locking stem to turn.

Also, I'm not sure if there's a manual release for the door/charging cable buried somewhere between the inside trim and metal of the car. I know some cars have these. Someone on here may know though I don't recall anything about that in the manual.

Thanks. I eventually got it open by trying the lock/unlock/push-on-door cycle about 30 times. An internal release would be a good idea.
