Car wants to resume from CarPlay since 2.7.0

Ever since the 2.7.0 update, every time I get in the car it wants to resume playing audio from CarPlay. I don’t use CarPlay for audio though. When I left the car, I was either playing an FM station or Tidal.

It’s annoying that I can’t resume playing the album I was listening to when getting back in the car now. Sometimes if I manually browse in the built in tidal app, it will hint me towards the currently playing album and I can click a track to play it, but I have to remember which song it was one, and it restarts obviously. Plus this doesn’t seem to always work even a little. Sometimes I can’t even click a recent album from the Home Screen and expect it to start playing it.

Does this problem affect others? Anyone know a way to fix it?

It is sadly a known issue introduced in 2.7.0, not yet fixed in 2.8.0. Lucid is aware of the issue.

Yes, very annoying and happening with AA also. It defaults back to what ever audio app I played last on AA as soon as AA connects versus the Tidal native app that I was playing last.

I was able to "work around" this by deleting Spotify and Tidal from my Android phone. It still takes my Air several minutes to fully load Spotify, but it does force the car to play using the native Spotify App.
Not much of a work around but it's frankly easier and less frustrating to just redownload Spotify/Tidal to my phone whenever I want to use the app and I'm not in my car.

I know it’s not the end of the world but this is so annoying!
