Car and Driver : 40K-Mile Test 2024 Lucid Air Pure RWD

I was just about to post this. I think it was a very fair appraisal. I am definitely going to take the tip of using manual heat controls instead of Auto this coming winter.

Doing a 40k mile review takes commitment. Kind of glad to see these. Short-term reviewers complain about stuff that looks weird if you just saw the thing for the first time and are used to something else. Stuff that's non-consequential when you own and drive it every day.

absolutely. When i first got into EVs, I had a PHEV (panamera) and then a taycan..no 1 pedal driving and the no regen made you glide like neutral in a manual.

When i got into one pedal drive, it felt awkward and jerky. Then I got used to it and I can't go back for my daily driving to non-one pedal driving. Sometimes new things take time and you get it.

That doesn't account for all things in the lucid, but it definitely accounts for some things that are designed somewhat differently

This is a greatly appreciated and honest comprehensive review with no bias or fits thrown.

Excatly, they are not worried about not getting invited to Tesla stunt show.

Yeah there is some strange logic that Lucid uses to force all the air to the windshield defroster when starting using Auto, I just set everything to just below half fan speed and lower temp, steering wheel and seat heaters are real good.
