CA registration

I purchased an air touring about 4 months ago, and the temp plates have been expired for about a month now. Apparently you can't get temp plate extensions in CA? The DMV and Lucid are pointing to each other when I ask what the delay is.

Has anyone else had to deal with this?

Don’t worry, the cops are aware that the temp and real plate processing time is atrocious. Slim to no likelihood of being pulled over in my own experience. My custom plate took 12 months to get from CA DMV… in fact I was surprised they came at all. lol.
