Brake and taillight didn't work for a couple hours

On my second trip this morning (both short) the left taillight and brake light stopped working and throwing errors. The higher light seemed to work on braking so I went ahead and drove since it was daytime. Multiple reboots did not seem to clear it, so I tried charging it for a couple hours. Correlation is not causation, but when I came back everything was fine. So either just sitting for a bit cleared it or something with the charging process. I really hope the rain wasn't a factor, since, uh, that's a thing that happens a lot, but it seems unlikely since it's been raining all weekend. Reported it to Lucid to both customer care and software bugs, but not expecting to hear back for a bit with the holiday.

The Gravity rental I have did that last week during a lot of rain as well. I let it sit while I was in gym and it reset.

I had the EXACT same problem (during the day, only diagnosed it using the hazard lights), only on the Air, not Gravity. Wasn't raining though.

I've been getting those errors for a few weeks now. Haven't noticed a pattern with rain - haven't really had any. But it seems to come and go. I actually scheduled a service when it first happened, but then it went away later that day so I cancelled. I was going to have to wait a couple weeks for the service appointment anyway. I also noticed, about the same time that the signal/brake light errors started happening, that my windshield wipers often run for a little while (front and back) when I first start driving the car. No rain. Happens in bright sunlight. Not sure if it's related to the lights issue, but sometimes correlation is a clue.

I had a random trim piece in my trunk last summer when I picked up my gravity. The sales guy and I were not able to immediately determine what it was so I just held onto it. Later that day or week when I had more time to investigate, I found it was the trim that covers the rear headlight access (the other side actually fell off as well before I had a chance to get the first fixed). Although they now seem more secure than previously I still see lots of water and soap foam leaking out from these pieces when I wash my car and open my trunk. I have not seen any issues with my tail/brake lights, that I know of, but I wonder if this could the cause of these issues.

I've gotten the random windshield wipers going when the car wakes up for awhile now, but usually just one or two swipes. I'm pretty sure that's happened in the garage which would rule out sunlight, but I'll keep an eye an on it now to see when that happens.

I have no idea if this applies, but on my Tesla I suffered for a while from the "phantom rain" issue where the wipers would occasionally take a swipe.

Lots of indignant owners online saying "it obviously is not raining". But it was the Tesla system attempting to clean the camera view under the glass (which did not work because the debris was inside the glass) just as it was programmed to do.

I do not know if Lucid does this or if an interior camera is located where you are describing.

I had the same trim piece fall off my Gravity. Ironically, it was when I picked it up from my last service visit. It wasn't all the way off, but hanging by a thread of the double-sided tape that held it on to begin with; I noticed it as I was transferring personal effects from my loaner into my Gravity. I had them stick mine back up there; it's a pretty MacGyver'ed fix since it's just some random tape and not the original "shaped" piece. On closer inspection, the other side was also starting to look like it was about to go, so we stick-umed that side up there too.

It's pretty concerning that you have water bubbling out of there after a car wash..... I'll have to pay more attention next time I'm in the rain or wash the vehicle....

That's really interesting. My pieces didn't seem super loose but it didn't take much pressure to get it to get them free either. I will look at it the next time the car is wet. Thank you for the tip.
