BMW Earth competition

I just looked through the iX3 pictures that Motortrend has in their article. Oddly, the pictures make it appear that the 2nd row folds down, but not very flat at all. If true, that'd be a very annoying aspect of the vehicle for those of us who typically don't have 2nd row passengers. In my current vehicle, I have at least one half of my second row down more than 80% of the time.

To me, this looks much better!

Obviously a competitor to Earth not Gravity. The Germans are slowly approaching 4 mi/kwh as Lucid will probably be closer to 6 mi/kwh with Earth.
Lucid seems to have lost its way with production of Gravity and Earth is about a year or two behind R2 it is a grim picture.

They did for a while. It seems the production delays may be mostly behind them.

I don't believe it competes with the Gravity, because at this point it was hinted that it will be a much smaller size SUV. For those who want a small SUV, they would not consider a Gravity to begin with. BMW is also coming out with a small sedan based on the same architecture. That will definitely compete with the Earth and this neaue klasse sedan coming out in early 2027 is a car that I also will be looking at.
Yup, I’ll be looking closely at the Neue Klasse sedan too.
