- Lucid Air Touring 2025
Recently I had to call the service center for blind side monitoring not working. I didn't realize it was a problem (maybe since day 1) until I almost got into an accident a couple times from the blindside of the right of the car (I struggle with camera usage since it's in an awkward position to see for the position i drive in). I would like to consider myself a decent driver and I don't remember having this potential accident issue in my Ford, so I started investigating. How am I missing the light and audible alerts for a car with blindside monitoring? For a few days, I was focused on checking the blindside sensors and that's when I noticed it, the light doesn't come on at all on either driver or passenger side. It eventually starts working 5-10 minutes of driving on a road with multiple lanes. I also noticed that the left side is way more forgiving for when a car is in the blindside than the right side and the behavior is upsettingly inconsistent. Sometimes the light will turn on near the mirror until I fully pass the car. Other times the light will turn on when the car is near the B-column until I pass the car. I'm not trying to hit a car so not sure if the audible alerts have the same issue. As mentioned above, I have no idea when it first started and my gut is telling me it's a day 1 problem (Lucid AT 2025). I have a service center appt scheduled for end of the month after the mobile tech confirmed that it is indeed an issue. Thankfully the tech has it recorded and suggested I try to record it when it happens again to have more instances of it.
I checked the DreamDrive settings and the alert + light were on. I called customer care and did the normal restarts. After the car was parked for a few hours, the issue came right back.

- Next time you drive your Lucid Air, can you see if you experience a similar issue?
- When does your alert light turn on for a car in your blindside for both the left and right sides?
- I ask this to see how forgiving the actual feature is supposed to be. I remember in my Ford Fusion, the alerting was very generous and the light appeared almost as soon as the car was near the mirrors.
