Black carpeted floor mats

Lucid carpet floor mats are no longer available on their website?
A) the standard mat lucid provides for the passenger does not protect the angled carpet on the firewall. Size matters.

B) ceramic mats are essentially a trade off of plush but difficult to clean for ‘rubber’ industrial easy to clean. This would be suitable for mud, snow and really dirty shoes like on a farm be it an equestrian or an agricultural.

So the ceramic 95% of the time is not what I need.

And for that 5% it doesn’t cover enough of the primary carpet.

At one point in time Lucid had carpet mat options but the grey was light grey. Charcoal grey is better color and the small size disqualified anyway.

Light color carpets look great when new. On my ‘sport cars’ and ‘convertibles’ I have had red, light grey, and cream primary carpet colors but always have had dark ‘mats’.

I find the ceramic carpet keeps clean if you're savvy to high-end cars with some care, sort of like owning an all-black car which requires every-other-day washing and monthly clay-bar.

Still, my point was Lucid Store no longer sells ANY of their carpets anymore, which is why I sent the link. I had waited a few weeks to buy a new set of ceramics since the previous owner was a little rough with them and now they can't be found. I'm ending up getting Lloyd's "Touring" mats (the only ones they offer) in "Parchment" (as close to white as I can get).

It looks like nothing but downhill for Lucid. Name any other $140,000 car where you can’t buy a set of black (or other color) carpeted floor mats! 🙈🙈 Rubber floor mats for year round? Give me a break 😂
Well, maybe they're re-designing the carpets for extended excellence? Pretty as they are, the stock mats pile is a little thin. Hopefully they'll offer shag.

That’s some positive thinking! Yeah, maybe they have some high quality carpeted mats being designed as we speak. I sure hope that’s the case

WAIT! Is there a carpet shortage again?! Is this why the Gravity is delayed? lol
Peter mentioned in one of his interviews that the Air was delayed because of an issue with sourcing carpet and they couldn’t deliver vehicles without carpet.

Finally have something else to show. 1-Carpet Mills remainder scrap: Charcoal grey flecked
2-Cardboard templates for front (mats larger than original) rear is copy of original mat.
3-Glue gun ( heated glue) to attach appropriate Velcro to match Lucid Velcro discs.

( tested stability of that attachment procedure - Velcro industrial strength stick on tape is not adequate)

Photos from first fitting ie before anchoring.

Note: finding carpet is lucky timing. Still waiting for higher quality carpet to make a plusher set. Also note the grime tolerant color is its prime attribute and its color match is better than black mats. However these are not waterproof all weather mats and don’t cover all of the base carpet.

PS (my idea - will see how it works). If carpet goes under pedal then it will not rest on pedal even if pushed forward ( and should not displace at all with the three Velcro anchors).

Looks pretty good!

Lloyd's Matts have a "parchment" color for Ceramic Matt owners, but you have to choose 2024 or 2025 Lucid Air Touring (they fit fine).
