BIG price changes on 2025 Air in-stock Airs!

Last night, Lucid RAISED the price of the last few 2025 Pure models in stock by a whopping $5,000. Maybe this is being offset by some incentives that changed for July over June, but that's a big increase.

At the same time, the company LOWERED the price of the last few 2025 Grand Touring in stock by $2,000-$3,000. (only a handful of those left)

No change to the Touring trim level, and that is the vast majority of 2025 cars in inventory. Longer discussion about if that's a sign of 2026 model year Air cars about to be released/announced is here. On that thread you can also see stats of available cars broken down by trim levels, but the VAST majority of 2025 cars at this point are Touring, and the factory is still producing and adding Tourings to inventory every day (an average of 20-25 per day, with about as many of those cars sold per day.)

For this thread, just want to alert potential buyers of 2025 available cars to these price changes.

The prices on the Touring models may not have changed, but the lease terms certainly have. I've been eyeing the inventory as well, and on some of the models I was looking at, the stated monthly lease increased by around $130...not sure if that's due to money factor, residuals or incentives (or combination of all).

Some qualifying Incentives did worsen, unless you're an existing Lucid owner. In June, it was $2,000 on-site and $2,000 conquest, and now it's $1,000 on-site and $3,000 loyalty.

The salesperson claimed the deals would get worse after quarter end, and I suppose it wasn't just sales speak. Fortunately, my current lease runs through the next quarter end.
 
I guess you could call it raising the price. The Air credit on Pures went from $10k in June back to $5k in July (in May it was $7,500 and I believe in April it was $5k). My understanding is they raise the Air credit on the trim level that is building up highest in stock. I just bought my Pure in June and was told they had too many Pures at the time, so the Air credit was highest for Pures, less for Touring, and the lowest for GTs. That's for purchases, not leases -- can't lease in my State.
 
Last night, 2 more inventory Air Pures got the big price hikes also... big $5,000 increase in the price of these inventory cars. Not many Pures left for 2025, and Lucid's actually increasing the price on these, guessing perhaps that if someone is determined to buy a pure before the tax breaks go away, then they'll pay a bit more now for one of the precious few left?

If you bought/leased your Pure in June, you got the best deals, along with the better incentives then. Lucid made the Pure more expensive starting in July, not because they had Pures with more equipment or options, just raising the prices $5k on each existing cars in invenotry.

I'm anxiously anticipating what will be offered between now and quarter end. Everything I've seen and read seems to indicate a relaxation of offers immediately after quarter end, with incentives ramping back up each month.

The retraction of the $7,500 incentives and the impact on lease incentives is somewhat of a wild card. No doubt that will be a big part of marketing by Lucid and other manufacturers to encourage buyers to pull the trigger, but come fourth quarter, there will still need to be a push to move units.

Agree, we'll have to wait and see what happens now.
But there's a least a plausible scenario that Lucid is seeing the end of the $7500 tax credit at the end of this quarter and anticipating people rushing to get in ahead of this deadline and is raising the prices of some of their cars (Pure) that may have the least margin and raising prices to collect a bit more with this temporary demand increase.

Pricing strategies at companies like Lucid are very sophisticated, and Lucid has every right to price things how they want... customers can take it or leave it. Capitalism. I don't claim ill intent or anything wrong with them doing it, but it sucks for Air Pure buyers right now to want to lock in that soon-ending $7500 savings but suddenly see Lucid tacking on a fresh $5000 increase, negating much of that "savings" right now.

Either way, Airs are still selling for well under the MSRP with all the various discounts available on them.

does it matter if it's called a price increase or a lowered discount/? Result is that someone will now pay $5000 more for this vehicle than they would have the day before. Has nothing to do with the fictitious MSRP that no one has paid for a long long time. Don't see why this shouldn't be described as increasing the price of this car.

Yes, fair point. But someone might now qualify for the $3k loyalty discount that didn't exist last month, so the price went up only net $2k. Or they were going to get a $2k on-site discount but that dropped to $1k so the price was raised $6k instead of $5k. Or they're trading in a Tesla... There's a lot of incentives going up and down all over the place so it's not as simple as saying the price of the car went up $5k, IMO.

But with everyone losing 7.5k credit, puts less pressure on Lucid.
 
It will be interesting to see how the repeal affects the overall EV industry…my suspicion is that the market will demand similar prices for EVs and the manufacturers will have to find a way to continue providing incentives/discounts. In other words, the tax credits were more of a benefit to the manufacturers than the consumer.

Big boost in number of Pures for the first time since i started tracking it. Now that they've raised the price of Pure $5k, they seem to be cranking out a fresh bunch of them to try to rake in that extra margin. Guess there are still buyers at this price point.

Disproves my theory that they were done making Pure and GTs for 2025.
