Is the reason the Gravity Dream Edition has lower range mainly due to the different wheels/tires compared to the stock Gravity Grand Touring or is there some other reason?

They’re quite loud with grinding noise . And they are slow. I have heard they have a replacement for this and not sure what the criteria for replacement are for Lucid.

@marqie ...please eLUCIDate the criteria needed for replacement of the noisy apparently defective 2nd row seat motors. They are torturous to listen to when moving the seats and sound like they will grind to a halt and freeze up any moment. That can't be "to spec"

I doubt those assertions. The issues with key fob, steering wheel, and door handles all proved to be software issues. (Look at the release notes for the latest software for the door handle issue being fixed). I had all three issues on my DE, and in latest code, all three issues are gone.

I suspect Lucid wasted a boatload of money replacing perfectly good parts simply because of shoddy code.

I agree. Although the fob replacement is legit and is happening for some GT owners (and probably some DE owners too?). I may be getting mine replaced at a service visit in April. Either way, most of it is software and minority is hardware that all is covered by warranty and will be easily updated after buyer gets it i imagine.

Also fyi there is now a GT on Car Bids listed today. Started out at $50k bid. 😞

fwiw, there *was* also a batch of bad fobs. but you're right that in general it is software, on either the fobs or the car or both.
