Backup Camera Air

New owner here in Seattle, no dealer or support anywhere. So. The rear view cameras produce very poor quality images compared to the front. And it also repeatedly reports as an error and directs me to clean the cameras, which I’ve done many times. But if cleaning works at all… it only improves the view very slightly. Is this something I need to have serviced? Or is it just tough luck? Or is there something else. Yes it also brakes me out when it thinks there’s something behind me… another problem of poor rear camera functionality. Thanks.

Not sure what's "normal". My backup camera has similar quality to the front camera.

For me it's the side lane-changing cameras which are a problem. They're okay in the daytime but at night they are utterly useless.

Yeah they don’t seem to have any night vision type enhancement like Tesla.

Getting a thorough clean of the whole car helped the backup camera quality. I still got an annoying camera fault message. Maybe the issue is that the cameras are so low to the ground that they easily get dirty and they are always wet here in Seattle which apparently is a problem too.
