Dear Lucidians,
I am having major buyer’s remorse.

Yesterday leaving with a car full of friends for brunch I wasn’t able to get out of the driveway. The car detected its own shadow as an object behind the car and kept throwing the brakes violently. I learned I’m supposed to disable the rear object field back-up assist but guess what? That only works for one try and then it re-engages and slams on the brakes again. So ridiculous. I hope no one sues me for whiplash.

I also am super frustrated with the sound. No regular radio bands (in the Houston Metro area!) work. The sound comes in and out but I can’t listen to anything because it’s in and out. Might as well listen to my phone.

Sirius - God! What a nightmare. I called to convert my subscription. They could not find my VIN and have never heard of Lucid. They think I should buy a remote marine unit. Uh?

Also I really don’t believe I’m getting any sort of special sound with the dynamic/dream/extra-special sound upgrade ($2900). It showed I had not activated the upgrade so I contacted customer service. Now it seems like the sound is the same but they turned off the alert that I’d not yet activated my specialty sound dream package. Scam?

I’ve had a slow leak in the driver front tire since I received the car. I took it to tire repair and they cannot find the issue. Now I’ve paid for lifetime road assurance and warranty on on 4 tires for an arm and a leg. Still 36 lbs in that tire v 42 in all others.

I have 1000 miles on the Lucid Air and I don’t like it and don’t want to keep. Talk some sense into me please!!! 🙏

Have you rebooted it? Those are kinda weird issues. The Sirius XM is LTE and mine does that sometimes too.

For the reverse-that definitely shut off permanently when you turn it off in car settings. I know this cuz my car won’t back out of my garage if it’s on. If it’s not staying on, do the steering wheel reboot.

Press and hold the the X, microphone, and brake pedal until it beeps and let go. If that doesn’t work call service.

I find that if I can back at an angle, the car wont apply the auto braking. It is super embarassing when friends are in the car and it does that. I do wonder if the car is protecting itself from scraping or is just afraid of its own shadow?

Aren't you able to overcome the autobraking by just keeping pressure on the accelerator pedal? My car balks sometimes, too, backing out of the garage, but I just keep the pedal down and ignore the warning it throws.

Nope it gets very bossy when it thinks there's something back there. I have to go forward and then back again at an angle that it likes.
