Automatic Headlights

Yes, Air only has auto bright dimming headlights that sense when there is car ahead of you (coming at you or going away from you) and then turns off brights. This is similar to what many cars in US have had for many years.

Gravity (if you have Dream Drive Premium or Pro) has adaptive matrix headlights that shape the beam to avoid blinding cars ahead of you, even while brights remain on high. I find that around town in well light streets, the brights (blue indicator) rarely come on. While out in countryside away from good street lights, the brights (blue light indicator) come on and stay on, even when following other cars or if cars coming at you. You will notice that side of road stays well lighted and bright in front of you up to about license plate of car in front (then dimmer above that.). You can also still hit the left stalk to flash the brights

Speaking of which, can any of you remember older cars from 60s, 70s that activated brights with a button in the floorboard that you pushed with your left foot.

Yes, I'm that old 🤣 My Polestar 2 is equipped with matrix headlights but not activated from the factory. I was able to turn on the feature using an application called OrBit.

Yes, of course I remember that. It was a button to the left on the slanted part of the floorboard. By the time I got my Honda Civic Hatchback in the mid 80's the high beam control was on a stalk on the steering wheel column. My parents only had automatics so not sure if manual transmissions were the same

I still don't believe the Air has the matrix headlights like the Gravity does...
Seems you're right. I read "micro-lens array" in Air's marketing way back and assumed it meant the same thing. Apparently not.

My 1977 GMC motor home (pearl) with a 455 olds front wheel drive still has it

The interior was completely redesigned when the rv was frame off rebuilt in 98. The bar is easily reachable just to the left of the door, so open the door and grab a cocktail

Coincidence that the car I was referencing in my post (my first high school family car driver) was an Olds Delta 88 with 455.

454? The 455 came from a Tornado with the front wheel drive and that’s what this is. A front wheel drive and I think it would be a cool ev. Range, meh
