Got runner up/honorable mention for their EV of the year as well. Software, of course, was the only thing it seems that held them back.

Hate to be a killjoy but personally, I don’t think Gravity should’ve received any awards this year based on the software issues alone.

I’m a strong advocate of “You don’t reward poor behavior” but maybe I’m an outlier on this issue.

Unless these guys are being paid by Lucid, Gravity winning Best EV is a significant data point for Lucid’s management team. It validates the strategic approach they took with Gravity and gives me confidence that they know what they’re doing. Hopefully, they’ll apply the same smart thinking to the midsize model.

With Gravity still in its ramp-up phase and already earning major accolades, I can’t wait to see what they deliver with the midsize.

I disagree. They acknowledge the software bugs in the video. No car is perfect. Not having bugs is great, but not having features that are compelling? that is worse. The competition didn't impress them, and so much so that the Gravity overcame its bugs in their comparison. Packaging, suspension, cabin noise, performance, range, efficiency, luxury appointments are what they cited as best in class. That's a lot of good stuff!

Right, they are also a tech channel, they fully appreciate software evolves quickly and can be remedied over OTA. A bad charge curve on a car with old battery tech and no OTA, that you are stuck deep.
