Anyone else had this issue? I can still open it from the center console, but the exterior button stopped working. I've had lots of glitches that resolve themselves after the car has gone to sleep, but this one has now persisted for a couple of days. Car is just over 3 years old, so I think it should be covered by the warranty, just checking for any tips here before calling it in.

I just replaced mine. It became faulty and started activating on its own. My trunk would literally open and close itself without any action on my part. Coincidentally, my car is a Touring also just over 3 years old. 
I'm not under warranty though.

Wasn't a big deal actually. First thing I did was find out how to unplug that switch. Then, I was in a similar situation as you currently are. I could drive the car fine (and leave it parked outside) but had to open and close it using other methods. Then I ordered a new switch and installed it myself. It's a pretty simple process. So it cost less than $75 including shipping and extra clips because I think I damaged one during the work.
