Yeah, thought 12’s was the bottom. Tanking more than the market and no bottom in site. Shows you how much faith investors have in management. Tax loss harvesting as well, many dumping LCID. This is basically $1 stock presplit! What is with this daily %6 to %10 drop since last week, seems there is no bottom to this.
I think they knew what htey were doing on that one. This is basically $1 stock presplit!
31% smaller battery, which is where most of the cost savings comes from. Otherwise it's the same size, with just a little less weight. 31% less than 450 would be 310, so they actually did well to make it 337 EPA.The Gravity release isn’t promising….I'm very disappointed in Touring range. People buy Lucid for range! I see poor sales! They have one more chance with the midsize… Gravity will save us they said! Not if your software is glitchy!
With glitches software, their only saving grace was range. And 80k base is not cheap. Add a few options and you are hitting 90k. Why buy a Lucid if you don’t get the range? It’s not like they have great software or brand name.31% smaller battery, which is where most of the cost savings comes from. I suppose they could have gone with a battery pack somewhere in between, but of course then it would have to be like $90k.
Best car I ever bought! They just need better marketing.I'm not worried about anything. I have no dog in this fight. I am interested in why people who bought the car also bought the company. Not sure what you're after here.
Because it's still a Gravity, with the amazing luxury and size and design and space utilization, etc. Same reasons most of us are buying (in part). Some people are willing to accept 31% less range to save $15,000.With glitches software, their only saving grace was range. And 80k base is not cheap. Add a few options and you are hitting 90k. better dealer network, better support, better software, more people, more service locations...there is a lot at play if they want to be the next big thing.Best car I ever bought! They just need better marketing.
Agreed. In fact, I wouldn't even count marketing as one of their big problems (right now). Demand exceeds supply already, which is why there's a backlog and buyers are waiting 6-12 months to get theirs.better dealer network, better support, better software, more people, more service locations...there is a lot at play if they want to be the next big thing.
I think the biggest issue is software, having all those reviews on YouTube complaining about software isn’t good!Agreed. If demand craters on top of all their other issues (software, production, service, supply chain problems, and above all - high costs), then they're in deep trouble. But so far demand isn't the problem. Of course, demand for $100k vehicles only goes so deep. The smaller $50k vehicle will be their make-or-break. Gotta have high volume sales for that, and it'll be fighting in a much more competitive segment.
(On a side note, my SA called today and said mine moved to production. Ordered it in June, and made 2 spec changes along the way.)
Alternately, they could wind up like Maserati where they are kind of niche, but interesting and fun but quirky car and the brand itself winds up having several different owners over the course of its lifetime. It never really dies, but you never see one in every garage. that might be an attainable goal.Agreed. In fact, I wouldn't even count marketing as one of their big problems (right now). Yeah up or down 10% doesn’t matter much when that 10% is a dollar. As mentioned above, most of the stock movement right now is driven by the broader market, not company performance. I wouldn't expect any movement tied to company performance until we hear Q4 production/delivery numbers. If they don't hit 18k, it'll no doubt fall further.
Yep. Although to be fair, software is an issue for nearly every EV maker (other than Tesla). I thought our 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E initially had software bugs, but it seems great now relative to our 2025 Porsche Macan EV. Sounds like the Gravity is just as buggy.I think the biggest issue is software, having all those reviews on YouTube complaining about software isn’t good!
Winding up like Maserati would be just about the worst possible outcome! They haven’t made a good car is years.Alternately, they could wind up like Maserati where they are kind of niche, but interesting and fun but quirky car and the brand itself winds up having several different owners over the course of its lifetime.
