Article and podcast suggesting support for Android Auto and Apple Carplay diminishing

Motor Trend makes the point that CarPlay Ultra and Android Automotive OS are both--to some extent--attempts to salvage their positions as the phone projection technologies are being deemed undesirable by the automakers.

It seems like a gross exaggeration to me to say that car makers are abandoning Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. As the video notes, Tesla and Rivian never supported them, so their continued lack of support is not diminishing or abandoning support. GM is the only maker that I know of that had support and abandoned it. Aston Martin and Hyundai/Kia/Genesis announced support for the new CarPlay Ultra. Have any other car makers indicated that they will no longer support CarPlay and Android Auto in the future? I haven't heard such announcements.
