Lucid, this would be an excellent opportunity to upgrade the less than optimal nav we currently have. This is going to integrate down to preconditioning and charging stations into their vehicle routing. Apple may not be everyone's cup of tea but it would be significantly better than Here maps.

Why wouldn't we encourage them to switch to Google maps, which most everyone raves about? We already have Google search... seems like a no brainer.

Bc while they are good, they are not the only ones that are good. I stopped using Google Maps a long while ago and switched to Apple bc they became (IMO) just as good if not better for me. I don't want Google routing if given the choice in my car.

Agreed, I'd take either one over HERE maps, but the days of Google being the default choice are long gone. I'd say it's probably because Google Maps got worse more than the playing field getting better. Apple, Waze and Google are in my good enough category. No one really makes amazing navigation anymore IMO the focus on trying to find shortcuts has overruled common sense in this department.

Have you ever read any privacy statements or security documents from any of these companies?
So far Apple has the strongest position in these two areas and I believe their products are designed to protect your privacy than google or anyone else
