Man, you Android Auto people have a lot of influence!

I’m curious what the resident attorneys think, but to me it seems like a case of the DOJ not letting actual facts get in the way of a good lawsuit. I can almost justify a case if CarPlay was designed to replace native UXs, but it runs in parallel and doesn’t prevent auto manufacturers from including AA when they want.

That lawsuit is absolutely ridiculous. It is the consumers choice to decide on Apple’s locked in ecosystem, including iMessage, Apple Carplay, etc. I fully support that and one of the many reasons my whole family and friends adopt that ecosystem. Love the better security on it too. The lawsuit is total rubbish and the US govt is going crazy.
