Any way to use the voice button to start Google assistant on my phone?

Anyone know if it's possible to have the steering wheel mic button start voice control over Bluetooth to my phone? I'm moving AWAY from Alexa so I won't be setting it up in my Air.

If you buy the carlinkit it will use Google voice instead, but it won't be able to control any car functions
