Any insights on (potentially) expiring Air/EV/Onsite credits on 11/30/24?

Tesla Model S
Hello! I am a current Tesla Model S FSD driver with a lease that is expiring early February. The current Lucid offers show an expiration of 11/30. If I order by 11/30 and take delivery in two weeks, I will end up having two cars and eating $2500 in lease payments. Should I be concerned about the expiring incentives or has Lucid been rolling these forward? Also, there has been discussion of doing away with the EV credit post change in administration. Is that something I should be concerned about happening prior to February 1st 2025? Trying to determine whether to pull the trigger now or possibly wait another 30-60 days.

Any other suggestions on the buying process (I plan to lease an Air Touring).

Thanks!

EV credits won’t go away until Trump takes office and the legislature votes on it. Theoretically, it could come to vote on Jan 21st, though unlikely.

For the Air Credits, Lucid keeps extending but credits are definitely less than when they had excess inventory. I’m sure they would keep the credit to some extent. You can also buy a car sitting in a showroom and grab an extra 3-5k discount.

No legislator vote needed. Implementation of the rules is an executive function. The leasing loop hole for expensive cars can be closed after noon on the 20th.

They roll out the credits a month at a time—you’ll see most in December too, but nothing is guaranteed…

The EV credit will be gone as soon as Trump takes office. The Lucid deals will probably get rolled forward.
