See you in 2026I'm still holding out for native Android Auto...or bust.

If no Android Auto by then, I'll have a different car. Can't do this.See you in 2026
Glad someone else besides me was able to get the dongle to workMine arrived yesterday and after replugging the dongle it connects with no issues
Few points about the implementation of the dongle:
1.Music info gets transmitted to the driver display, but more often than not there's a huge lag/the song info will get stuck on a previous song
2. The system is stuck in day mode, persumingly because it is not processing the lighting inputs from Lucid, which means your Google maps and Waze will be blinding you at night. I tried to change the day/night mode to be phone controlled but seems like this feature has been broken for months. Thanks Google.....
3. It seems like navigation and music are mixed into one stream, so you can't adjust the volume separately, just like if you connected using Bluetooth.
That would surprise me.Should we check back in Sept? I mean realistically it's there any chance the Air will get AA before Gravity?
My guess: Not a chance. I'll bet that all the energy on features and problem solving is going into the Gravity. Hopefully, some will carry back to the Air, after the fact.Should we check back in Sept? I mean realistically it's there any chance the Air will get AA before Gravity?
I tried to email them but it bounced. Sent an message on Amazon and awaiting response...Glad someone else besides me was able to get the dongle to work
Yes, I also saw issues 1, 2, and 3.
On 1, I mostly use Musicolet to play songs stored on my phone and there is no lag there, I have seen some lag with Amazon music but not too bad.
On 2, I have set up AA to always run in night mode but more often than not, the map stays in day mode. Noticed the map turns into night mode at random times not matching actual day or night time. Sent an email to the the dongle support team, so far no response.
I use AA a little bit differently. Because I prefer full screen maps, I use Lucid's native Here app instead. That lets me to use Musicolet, Amazon Music, Spotify, and others on full size AA instead of split screen. In those renderings, there is not much lag but perhaps lag is also app specific. Naturally, streaming apps should have a longer lag than something like Musicolet that plays MP3s stored on the phone. I don't use YouTube music.I tried to email them but it bounced. On 1, for you the lag is dependent on the player? For me the music player in Android auto displays the correct and current info, but the lucid display(right side of instrument cluster) would refresh at a very slow rate(once every few mins perhaps). But it's not consistent, sometimes it would refresh properly for a while then starts lagging.
Yes, I had also noticed that but it is a little too annoying to toggle the switch on and off thru the phone every time. I don't believe this is a Google bug, my phone consistently runs in dark mode when I use the built-in native AA on Porsche Panamera and Maserati Ghibli. More than likely, this is an issue with the dongle. I wonder if this issue shows up with CarlinKit Ai Box. Does anybody know? @hydbob, or others, can you shed some light? On 2, I find that I need to open Android auto settings on phone and toggle it out of night mode and back into night mode every time, which I guess it's another bug that Google doesn't bother to fix
One more thing, no multi touch zoom for navigation. But I guess that could be a carplay limitation.
Got an updated zip from the seller but after updating it it seems like nothing was fixed. The multiplay version is still the same. Sent a follow up and will post here if there's any updatesGlad someone else besides me was able to get the dongle to work

A late reply on this, but I finally did an evening drive with the Carlinkit. It automatically changes from day to night mode around sunset time.I tried to email them but it bounced. Sent an message on Amazon and awaiting response...
