Ambient Lighting Not Included – Anyone Else Run Into This?

The HUD and the dynamic ambient lighting used the same wiring harness.
Interesting. Why do they need separate wires for the ambient lighting in the doors if there's already power and a LIN bus (or whatever bus they use for the window controls) right there?

I just got my Lucid Gravity GT with every option except the technology package—which adds the HUD (totally useless for the Gravity) and, as I realized later, the dynamic ambient lighting. I can’t even begin to describe how annoyed I am that a $120k car in a nearly top-tier trim lacks features that come standard on a base Model Y.
I got the Tech Package and I found both the HUD and the dynamic lighting almost equally disappointing. The light is very faint and you really don't see it much in the driver's position, it's more for the people on the 2nd row.

I held out for the tech package too, just so I could get the HUD. The HUD has been a bit of a disappointment.

What else does one get with the “tech package”? I’ve forgotten all the small print on the Lucid Motors website.

My main gripe with this is the ambient lighting controls are still present and prominent in software, even when not actually there. Very simple for them to at least remove that

But you still have lights in the footwells, roof etc that you can change the color on.

At least for the Gravity I think Lucid realized people won’t pay $3200 for HUD, but will for more LEDs.
Yeah, that's more like it.

That’s why I decided to go the DIY route. The door panels are actually the same; they just lack the LEDs and the controllers. Instead of a simple hack to match the ambient ceiling light, I’m thinking of making it more informative by tapping into the CAN bus. This way, I can program custom triggers and have total flexibility over the system.
Power outlets
Yeah, but power outlets can be ordered separately with Power package.

Power Outlets only became separate when the HUD was delaying the entire tech package in mid/late 2025. But yes, you can get them separately and it’s “only” $600 versus $3,200 for tech package.
