Lucid Air Touring 2023
Good afternoon folks;

I am looking to improve my traction as our rainy season has started in the Pacific Northwest.

I understand that besides the size dimensions, the load rating cannot be messed with, however I have a problem with the speed rating as follows:

My Air touring rarely exceeds 90 miles per hour as a personal choice. Therefore if I choose Michelin Cross Climate 2 tires which I have had a positive experience with in aggressive rain, ice and snow while still enjoying them during the summer.

Can any one see a problem ?

Here are the specs from Michelin;

245/45R19/XL 102V

For clarity: V: Up to 149 mph

The Touring will not exceed 145 and I have no plans to go anywhere near that or make a run south of the border.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4 All Season may also be a good pick.

You make a good point however my pick is because of the Cross Climate 2 superior ability to channel water rapidly out of its foot print based on the design. This is extremely helpful to prevent hydroplaning our beloved Lucid Airs when you happen to pass over a body of water that has collected on the freeways

I haven't personally had issues with the Michelin other than flats. Did well for ice and rain for the first set with 1k+ miles. Others on the forum may be able to speak more on the topic as I swapped back to OEM only due to... lack of restraint if you will.
