My AGT is in storage for the summer in Scottsdale. I drove it last weekend for a couple of days when the outside temps were 105-113. The a/c made a horrible groaning sound during initial cool down. Just wondering if anyone else experiences this.

I'm going to make a service appointment for a couple of items and will have it looked at.

Thanks

I’m in Phoenix and had an AGT until about a month ago which had 60k miles and I never experienced what you are describing.

Any chance it sounded something like this?

Can you comment on the AC in the Gravity?
The AC in my Air has always been on the weak side for us.
It is easily the weakest AC among the cars we have.
Thanks.

It is better than the AGT for sure and the seat coolers are amazing in the GGT but I don’t love the location of the vents and need to get my windows tinted more to help. The only time I wish it did more was on the drive to school for pick up but to be fair…I don’t put on max and usually keep at 70° and not on full blast so it could do better but I am a hypermiler first. 😂 The AGT was always on max and still couldn’t always keep up.

You're more indulgent than we're. We set the tempt anywhere between 72-75.
Unless on max, the AC in the GT only gives us just a gentle breeze.
I don't know if it's the compressor, the fan blower, or what, but I always feel I could use 2 of the ACs at the same time.
Glad to hear the AC is stronger AC in the Gravity,
Hope it's adequate for the larger cabin.

Did you ever get an answer on this noise??

Our ‘25 Air Pure is making a similar groaning noise - it’s intermittent but feels like an HVAC related component. It’s currently in the shop. I can’t seem to capture it on video because it only lasts 5-10 seconds max. But it’s really loud.

I've had this issue parking in my garage several times after a charging session. Likewise, just recently, I accidentally left the A/C on while charging and got the same noise. Sent videos to Customer Care and an appointment was scheduled with the local SC. They found no issue with the HVAC. I would suggest turning off the HVAC when you hear the noise and see if it makes a difference.

Correction. I was assuming HVAC was the issue, but I replicated the noise during charging and during battery preconditioning.

Interesting. I don’t think mine associates with charging or preconditioning , but can even happen while driving (although not preconditioning). Will be interesting to see if they can identify the source.
