Air 2.8.4 software update

I installed the update this morning. Followed by logo reset
The update has introduced a significant problem with audio distortion.
With Bluetooth direct or Android Auto voice calls are completely scratchy and distorted.
Music tracks on the native Spotify similarly so.
Anyone else seeing this behavior? Any tips?
 
Didn't phone anyone but music sounds fine. Unchanged. Tried FLAC files from a USB drive, Tidal, Apple CarPlay. All seemed fine. Don't have Spotify or Android Auto.
 
Lucid must be confident about this one; they seem to be rolling it out more quickly. I usually don't see an OTA for at least a week after it's being discussed here. Installing now.

I've had this behavior intermittently since I took delivery in January, although it happens much less frequently for me since the 2.6 update. In my case, it affects anything going through the audio system, including UI feedback sounds and blinkers. A soft reset has fixed it every time for me. If that doesn't resolve it for you then you may have a different problem.
 
Omg did update and now I get stability control unavailable and automatic vehicle hold fault cycling repeatedly!! Says to call customer care. How to do a reset?
 
It's in the owner's manual. Worth a read.

UPDATE: I called CS and they were able to see that my phone had unintentionally enable a button setting under accessibility.
Turned it off and my app is normal.

I got this from 2.8.0, a reset didn't fix it, but a deep sleep (leaving the car for a few hours) did. I spoked to my Service tech at Lucid who said they couldn't see anything wrong other than the sensor reporting that issue and if it doesn't appear again then I'm good. Haven't seen it since. I would just wait

I have not noticed voice call distortion but my CarPlay SiriusXM transmission from Bloomberg and other news stations had intermittent (audio) interruptions every few seconds. Maybe a Sirius problem on news but not on their music stations.The OTA installed in well under 45 minutes.

Experienced the same thing earlier, I utilize built in Tidal app and was very spotty every time I signaled. Hoping (another) logo reset will do the trick.

It's not necessary. Some people swear by it, but I've never done it and I rarely have issues.
 
I had a snappy install of 2.8.4 this morning, and I have to say, I’m digging the new robustness!

See @MGRMLN 's last post above. It appears to be due to an accessibility setting on the phone.
 
Having updated my car to 2.8.4 and driven a 12 mile stretch. I have noticed three observations versus yesterday's 12 mile stretch.
  1. Door Handles respond quicker to open.
  2. Smooth Drive mode Changes :
    • Throttle tip in is smoother for a slightly more refined power delivery in beginning pedal travel.
    • The body stability is slightly improved for less side tilting in the body while road curves / car side movement travels.
  3. Energy usage with the range indicator is more accurate when using miles left unit view for 1 to 1 with mile traveled range (Assuming I don't Floor it in Sprint at a Red light).

If you figured all of that out accurately in a twelve mile drive, you are ONE HELL OF A LOT MORE PERCEPTIVE THAN ME!

It takes me more than twelve miles to figure out that the strange wind noise I'm hearing is because I forgot to roll up my window.

I got those messages a few versions ago. They had to update my cameras and it went away. It was not software, but hardware. Anyway, they fixed it and it is perfect now.
 
Did the update this morning. Shorter than the advertised 45 minutes, probably less than 30. Did a reset before driving (my SOP after every update). Drove about 30 minutes stopped for an hour and then drove another 30 minutes. Music playback (PocketCast) normal, call volume and quality normal - I didn't receive any error messages and the cameras worked well. Took its usual sweet time to unlock with my phone, still takes too long to wake up from the app but not worse than before the update. There maybe a plateau in the robustness of this car since I did not notice much improvement in an already great driving experience...

Did that plus the hard reset with walk away. Seems to have fixed itself but haven’t tried to drive it (took a different vehicle for the afternoon driving).
