Release notes for the next Air update which is publicly available on Lucid's website if you know where to look. Don't know if it has even started rolling out yet, but I look forward to having it in the coming weeks. (I will patiently wait and NOT contact customer service about it.) Hoping the new Spotify bugs are addressed - but more robustness is always welcome regardless.

Oooh, that's good to see. So far, 2.8 has been really solid for me, as was the proceeding update. I haven't had to soft reboot my car for months now. But I'm always happy to have a bit more robustness.

What I really want for Christmas though is lane keeping assist for those of us with DD Premium. They should be able to do that, and now DD Pro has been improved to the point that they could give that to us (and improve their offering) without getting too close to what DD Pro offers.

i thought mine had it, so when I tried it on the freeway I thought "this is the worst lane centering I've ever seen!!"

anways I only have Premium so it was just the cruise control assist or whatever.

Oops, I meant lane centering. It does have lane keeping assist, where it just bounces you off the line and back into the lane. But as you discovered, that is, um, limited.
 
One thing to keep in mind with the release notes for updates before they are released: The notes are often placeholders for what the eventual update becomes.

In other words, just because you see the "robustness" brief message, that doesn't mean it'll stay that way. Lucid has been known to post notes from the previous update in these slots, even.

Also, we've seen updates that never end up actually being released, as they never make it out of testing, and those changes instead get rolled into later releases along the pike.

Take everything with a grain of salt, in other words, until someone here reports actually seeing the update on their actual car.

I hope this comes with a fix for the horrible 2.8.1 app on our Airs. It looks horrible. I can’t believe they let this be released.
 
I just need to point out that we all scream for more frequent updates, then scream when they aren't perfect. This software is incredibly integrated into ALL of the car's systems. If you are in development and find a bug in the software, you generally need to go back to square one and retest every aspect of the software after you fix the bug. It is a tightly coupled system. Please note that we are going from 2.8.0 to 2.8.4. Versions 2.8.1, 2.8.2 and 2.8.3 all needed to be modified after new (and unexpected) bugs cropped up. Yes these challenges are surmountable, but it isn't simple or easy.

Did something change? Phone app 2.8.1 looks just the same as 2.8.0 as far as I can tell (android).
 
Phone app updates and vehicle updates are two different things.
 
Currently installing. Claims 45 min install. Will check tomorrow for any noticeable difference during drive

Maybe delete and reinstall? Seems like something a hard reset would fix
