Abnormal Brake Wear?

2025 AT with 17k miles. Some work was done in January by service that included new wheels and work on the front suspension (front tie rod ends), along with heat pumps and front motor, so I'm guessing the brakes were pulled off as part of all that.

I just noticed today that the front rotors looked to be wearing oddly, but I'm not really sure.

I tend to use regen but in roll mode, so I don't brake super often or hard, but don't do one pedal driving so the brakes aren't neglected either.

This is the worse of the two. Should I be concerned?

Weird, I didn't remember seeing any of my past vehicles looking like it scraped into the surface that much.

This is counter intuitive I know, but yours/ours aren’t actually scraped that much because the Lucid barely uses its mechanical brakes and uses a lot of regen. 17k on a Lucid or Tesla is like 3k on an ICE car. What you’re noticing is the drastic difference im surface conditions because overall the rotors are still very new. At 100k they will look less grooved because the other surfaces have worn down as well and the pads bedded more. Also Lucid brakes are really really big.

It could just be some uneven surface rust or pad transfer from light brake usage combined with regen, especially after recent suspension and motor work. Since the brakes were likely removed, I’d still have the service center inspect it to rule out a sticking caliper or improper pad seating. Probably not urgent, but definitely worth documenting and checking sooner rather than later.
