Fwiw, we also have a Q8 E-Tron, many nice things about the car, though we did not get it with that option. What's more important is that the passenger side charge port (if equipped) won't do DC fast charging, it's only for level 2, though if you get that option it can do 80 amp charging on the passenger side (only) with the right circuit/equipment. 40 amp max on the drivers side port if doing L2.
The documents also say that Gravity has an engine displacement of one milliliter. Both are close, but neither is exactly right.
And that is a Lucid document.
It's worse than that, kW is not a unit of current. I think the Gravity can accept DC current of up to 500 Amps.
And DC current is "Direct Current current". But I think we all say this, along with "hot water heater".
And to be clear, my comments questioning just about anything Lucid puts out is not challenging their accuracy.
I don't think it is redundant. The "current" in DC is standing in for "nature/directionality of flow" whereas the second use of current is standing in for "measure of amperage". It can't simply mean "amperage" in DC because in its partner term AC, both voltage and amperage change and so the term is half-descriptive if it is really talking specifically about the amperage and more descriptive if it is talking more about "current as in flow".

Yep. Value. The one area that some reviewers knock the Gravity on, resulting in a 9/10 rating.
My wife has the EV9 now and yes, it is a VERY nice vehicle for it's price and we are both VERY happy with it and it's charging curve on DCFC, Tesla is a mess at 88kw so last ditch type of scenario for her, but it does allow her to visit family in a rural part of Louisiana where Tesla is the only real option for about 70 miles. The Gravity will become the primary road tripper tho once I have it. But two very different price point and expectations to have for these (the Ioniq 9 as well) to have for them.
I finally managed to finished the OutOfSpec deep dive video into Gravity’s charging development at Lucid HQ. To give perspective, ever since the Air came out the #1 question was when can we charge on Tesla. Then when Tesla did the Magic Dock and we learned it was turtle slow (due to prior hardware design by Lucid not anticipating Tesla would ever open up their proprietary network to non-Tesla), the #1 question was when could we charge on Tesla like a Tesla does? It was only 20 months ago the Lucid team decided to do NACS and put it into the Gravity, and in that short period of time they figured out how to move the charge port from front to rear, get the rear motor to boost the Tesla charger to pack voltage safely while bypassing the boost to go straight to the pack for compatible CCS chargers, and got it all to work and made it charge faster than Tesla’s own vehicles and put that into cars now being delivered to customers. In only 20 months. That is mind blowing, I think in all the quibble over more visible software glitches like fob and navigation it’s easy to forget how incredibly competent and quick the Lucid team is at smartly and creatively solving problems.Gravity charging write up in trade press
