22"/23" All-season/Winter tire options?

Reupping this thread. Is there any new intel on Winter or A/S tires for the 22/23? We were planning to get 21/22 from Lucid when there was inventory and switch back and forth when wanted. But we were quoted almost $8000 for 21/22, which is a lot more than we were expecting, perhaps naively. We may already need to replace the back tires bc of nail in one (maybe the hole can be patched) and bulging in the other from DC potholes. If there is progress on different 22/23 tires, we would forgo the 21/22 purchase and put that $8000 towards regular purchase of new tires.
 
I've been on my service rep as well as researching online and there is no progress. I think we're never going to see them for 22/23.

They strictly winter option with the smaller wheels is almost $4K from Lucid, that's the most economical option for you. The larger 21/22 with Hankook evo as All Season I was quoted a little under $6k. Not sure why they're quoting you $8k.

TireRack lists a set of all seasons that can be used on 22/23” wheels

Or you can be like me and switch to square 22s and pay less than the 8k while having a ton of excellent tire options.

I didn’t say it was the best tire either, just said it was available. I went with a custom wheel and tire setup for a reason.

I wanted summer tire performance with winter driving and not having to worry about tire options.

It looks like these are still summer tires. Is that right?

The quote we received from Lucid was $4800 for the 4 21/22 wheels and a bit over $2000 for the 4 tires + a $500 for tire pressure sensors, etc. Each 23" tire is $930 to replace at Lucid. So less than Tire Rack, which isn't saying much.

New poster, found the forum because of this thread specifically.

I was quoted over 6k (invoice screenshots attached) for the 20/21 switch (from the 22/23 set up which I deeply regret getting now).

Did your 4k quote include tires and wheels or just wheels?

If you are around NY/NJ happy to swap the 20/21 I have with you. I went with 22” all around but having a summer tire can’t hurt.

I'm in LA so very far away!

I'm also most interested in doing down to 21/22, just want something I can put all seasons on. Not a car guy so this is all trial by fire for me.

On the Lucid site they have a winter wheel and tire package available for the Gravity for $3,750. I'm sure there are additional install costs.

I did the Lucid Accessory Winter Tire and Wheel package. It took the service center a couple weeks to find the rear wheels, but they drop shipped them to my local tire place and everything was great. The winters are true winter tires and have been great. Will swap back to summers when it warms.

Leasing the car, so will have an extra set at the end of lease, but shouldn't have to replace tires before lease turn in and chances are good, if there is a company, that I will buy the next Gravity. Absolutely love the vehicle!

I'm in the same boat. Leasing, two-year so not too exposed. 22/23 outfit was first available so I took it. Have had the car three full weeks and have already had two incidents where I couldn't get the car drive and a flat tire caused by a pothole (we think, flat occurred rapidly twelve hours later). So I've already replaced one of the tires once and now I have a drive to Park City coming up in ten days (from LA) and I can't get a quote on a 21/22 all weather option nor a service center that will do it between now and leaving for this trip.

I'll probably end up eating the cost of a ten day AWD ICE SUV rental. Which is a shame because I'd rather put that toward a second set of tires as I've been told there's no way the 22/23s will last me two years so I'm fine buying a new, all weather set if I can just get the damn things on the car between now and then (again, not a car guy at all so I'm learning all this the hard way).
