Agree with other posts around the forum that we shouldn't expect major changes for the '26 Air. But I wonder based on past years, when the official switchover to calling the cars 2026 models takes place? Summer sometime?

Saw this post on another thread... and made me realize that the '26s may soon be in production?
Just closing out the model year’s inventory (which they do at the end of every model year), and the DD Pro vehicles were gone first.

I'm curious as well. The lease on my 2022 matures this December and I am likely going to get another. My preference is to have DD Pro. Curious when 2026s will be available. If ChatGPT is to be believed, 2025s weren't available until spring of this year?

My '25 was listed as Available on their website in the first week of July '24, and the Studio allowed me to reserve/order it in-person. However, I was later informed by management that this was by mistake, and they meant to sell more '24s before even listing those '25s.

So, assuming this sort of error does not take place during the sales process... I'd say June/July for manufacture dates, and August/September for ordering. I suppose this could change to an earlier timeframe if the previous model year VINs are selling more successfully. 🤷‍♂️

Sounds about right. It leads to a theory that we can watch the total number of "new, available" 2025s on the website and watch for that number to start dropping quickly... as it gets to a small number, it would mean the '26s are about to be released. Like how the crazy Apple fanboys can predict when a new peripheral is about to be released by watching the inventory levels of the previous versions.

I'll keep an eye on the total number of 2025 Airs shown as available, nationwide.
As of today, it's 72. Will track and chart it and report back here.

I ludicrously over-engineerd this task... now scripted it in python and can automatically parse what i want to see on demand or on a daily schedule.

Here's the first run and its report for me today:

Not sure what it's useful for other than for me to see pricing trends (pre-incentives), and inventory numbers. May help me detect when they're getting ready to start making 2026 models.

Yours wouldn’t be on this list unless you cancelled. This isn’t a production report, it’s cars they’ve made to sell from inventory or cars that were cancelled and are now (or soon to be) available for purchase.

Yep the AGT DDPros disappeared about 10 days ago. Now the rest are dwindling.
Well we’re not really sure about numbers dwindling yet, unless someone knows some insider knowledge about production. That’s why I started tracking the numbers.

For all we know they’re still making spec ‘25s and they get added to this list as others get sold. We’ll see in a few weeks what the overall numbers look like.

But I’m pretty sure they won’t want to be holding many ‘25s when ‘26s become available so the number of inventory ‘25s should definitely start dropping as they get close to the model year changeover.

My over/under for ‘25s available when they start making ‘26s is 10. (Wild guess)

Another thing to watch for is increased incentives to get rid of final ‘25s. Bet we see that happening soon also.

I’ve been watching this for a while, and they have added batches of cars pretty regularly. I haven’t seen new batch for several weeks now.
