So on a shorter road trip within Texas. Took the model x instead, mainly cause I didn't want to kill my gravity warranty within 1.5 years (already at 20k in under a year). Not going to lie, the full self driving is absolutely amazing on the road trip, through some thunderstorms, rush hour traffic, parking lots, etc, never really had any concerns about the FSD.
On the flip side, man the model x charges soo slow and loses range quick. After I switched to the model x from a 2017 model s, I was super happy with how fast it charged comparatively. But now comparing to the lucid, it's miserable charging in the x, even if it's free. Worst part is how much vampire drain there is with this thing . Feel like the lucid has almost no vampire drain. Because of the drain, the charging experience once in the destination is also miserable. Feel like I'm always looking for a charger because this thing is just losing charge so quickly. On our recent road trip with the lucid, had the opposite experience where I felt overconfident that I rarely needed to charge outside of the normal stops. On top of the that, the normal stops were all super fast because of the charging speeds. Overall the gravity is just a road trip beast. Will definitely take the gravity on the next trip unless I know my destination hotel/residence will have an actual charger.
