12v system fault error message

Has anyone received the 12v system fault warning? I get it randomly and have not been able to pinpoint what may be causing it. The car does not go into limp mode.

When I put it in park the warning disappears. When I go back to drive sometimes it gives me the warning right away and sometimes the warning takes a few days to pop up.

I took it to service a few months ago and they said they couldn't replicate the issue. They checked the 12v system via LDS and did not find any issues. On the way home from the service center I got the error.

Just wondering if anyone has run into a similar issue and if there is any resolution. The uncertainty can be stressful.

If your 12 volt system fails then you stop

Did service pull the logs? I would expect the logs would show that the fault did occur. For intermittent problems, I typically suspect a wiring, connection, or sensor problem. Unfortunately, finding the root cause of intermittent problems can be very difficult.

Have you gotten this resolved yet? I had a 12v warning that recently took 2.5 weeks to diagnose...then a day to repair. A simple loose pin was the culprit.
