100,000 Miles!

My Air GT has 75,000 miles on it, its EPA rated range (on thr display) now sits at 508 miles. But I haven’t checked in several weeks. I guess I don’t want to look.

Yes - those are the miles when I charge to 100%

Way to go! What have your service needs been, after any of the “popular” glitches in the first 10-20K miles?

Very happy with my purchase and build quality after initial tweaks- here's to another 100k!

I'm just over 50k on my '23 Touring. I share your view of the teething pains in the early months, but love driving the car now. A quick question - what sort of tires are you using & how many sets have you run thru? What are yiour favorite tires? Thanks.

My car has not been quite as trouble free as some others. I won't go into detail with all of it. But since the 50k warranty expired, I have had a couple of hardware issues and all the usual software issues lol. I had a faulty charge port door/wiper issue that required a replacement of the motor and a faulty trunk release switch that I was able to replace myself. I also had to have a shop replace one of the sensors on the front of the car.

If I had to guess, I'd say the total cost of post warranty repairs would have been about $3-4k if I wasn't able to do any of it myself .

That seems very reasonable, in line with (or less than) most any other car approaching 100K miles. And far less than we’d pay for an extended warranty (though I suppose the worst case scenarios could still trigger some over-thinking on that when the time comes).

I'd be curious to know what sort of issues you've had. I bought a 2022 AGT with ~13,000 miles and purchased an additional 8 years and 125k miles worth of warranty through Xcare for $7400. I know this is a pretty big chunk of change, but you can cancel and get a prorated refund at any time, so it's basically costing me $77/month for the peace of mind. I figured I would get a better idea of how well they will hold up over the next couple years and could cancel if it seems like the risk is low. At my first trip to the Lucid service center, I spoke with several service advisors and asked what type of big ticket items they were seeing. They said they've seen a few batteries and motors, but those will be covered for 4 more years and 100k total vehicle miles. I feel like if I keep the warranty, I'll never have an issue and If I cancel it the car will be a disaster 😂
