How do I remove center caps

It only cost me something like $20 per wheel to buy the inserts and bolt covers from the service center. They also installed them right there. I'm not sure it's worth the effort and potentially damaging the full insert.

Video feed rear view mirror wanted…

Just do an aftermarket one. I've installed a Wolfbox mirror on my Grenadier (because the view is blocked by all the stuff I have in it) and my son's Titan (because the tint it has is so dark the mirror barely sees anything). They both have the added advantage of also being a three-channel...

    Lease return difficulties

I would think that if the aftermarket tint is legal (i.e. not too dark) and professionally installed (i.e. no bubbles, gaps, etc.) that they wouldn't care. It probably actually slightly increases the resellability of the vehicle.

    Extended Warranty

I'm not following all this anxiety over lack of a Lucid provided extended warranty. If you exclude "fit and finish" types of repairs (which presumably would have been rectified by the time the base warranty expires), and you exclude powertrain and battery (covered by the longer 8-year 100K...

Lease Turn in - Excessive Wear and Tear... ?

It's probably not too late to make a claim to your insurance company for that windshield. It's worth a try.

"State of Charge" Charging Drag Race between Gravity and new Porsche Taycan

My personal limiting factor is ~210 miles (3 hours of driving) which is bladder limited. Regardless of what car I am in, between me and my wife, one of us needs to use the bathroom no less frequently than once every three hours. So, the key to me is how much range can I get for a 10-15min...

"State of Charge" Charging Drag Race between Gravity and new Porsche Taycan

Interesting video. I wonder how those two different charging strategies impact battery life. Is Porsche sacrificing longevity?

    AZ Lucid Owners Event 4/12/2025

It was great seeing everyone. Sorry I didn't see the invitation to your shop before now, but your Air looks fantastic!! 103F on the first half of April was brutal!

2 front tires blew when hitting potholes.

What's a closer comparison, skinny road-bicycle tires or off-roading jeep style tires? Your guess is as good as mine. I'm inclined to think that overinflating the Lucid 21 tires may be better for protecting the wheels, but more likely to damage the tires. But going with slightly lower...

2 front tires blew when hitting potholes.

I suspect that over inflating would actually make the issue worse. The tires are stiffer and will have less flex. Particularly since you are talking cold PSI. The rule of thumb is that for every 10 degrees of Fahrenheit the tires warm up, it will add another PSI to the internal air pressure...

2 front tires blew when hitting potholes.

Good point. According to Mr Google, the Lexus has 245/40/21 front which equals a sidewall of 98mm, the rear has 275/35/21 which equals a sidewall of 96.25mm, weight ranges from 4,280 to 4,500 depending on year and options. The Lucid GT 245/35/21 front which equals a sidewall of 85.75mm, and...

    Lease extension available

I assume that was a response to @Joelaron's question (which I read as asking if it is possible to keep the same lease duration but increase the available miles). I would assume that if you extend an existing lease by an additional 5 months, it would include a pro-rata share of miles for each...

Upcoming tariff impact on Lucid used car sales

Not Lucid specific, but there have been a lot of articles predicting that the tariffs will cause the used car market prices to rise. So, I would assume that could also be expected for used Lucids.

Arizona may be ending EV access to the HOV lanes

I really wish they would prohibit commercial vehicles in the HOV lanes in AZ. They do in other areas. It makes zero sense for 18 wheelers to be in that lane, or landscaping trucks pulling their trailers.

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

What do you mean by "losses mounting for every vehicle they sell"? That implies that it cost Lucid more to produce each vehicle than they sell it for. At this point in any manufacturer's life cycle that would be a difficult statement to quantify. On the one hand there are the costs of the...

    Charging At Home Question

When you say you charge at home using a 40amp circuit, do you mean you have a Tesla home charger connected to that circuit or you plug the Tesla directly into the wall? I think Lucid's no longer come with a charging cable. I bought one that sits in the trunk and has never been used...

mi/$ not that great in CA for EVs?

What's absolutely absurd is that if it weren't for all the people who invested their own money into home solar, the California power grid would be unable to meet demand at peak hours in the summer. So those people helped finance California's "kicking the can down the road" approach to...

Lucid financing not available in WA state?

Its the result of a disgusting example of corruption in politics. A bill to resolve this recently stalled in the House Consumer Protection & Business Committee where Rep. Amy Walen, D-Kirkland, the chair, said it lacked caucus support. So it never came up for a vote. The fact that Amy Walen...

mi/$ not that great in CA for EVs?

California is in the top five most expensive states (including Hawaii and Alaska) for electricity according to the "Electric Choice" website https://www.electricchoice.com/electricity-prices-by-state/ Part of what Californians are paying for is the result of "kicking the can down the road"...
