Lucid Air vs. BMW I4 E40

Mine is an Oct 2022, although bought it in December 2023 and they didn’t tell me it was a ‘22 - I only noticed after delivery. It’s had most of the software issues documented on this forum, was undriveable for the first month due to bad wheels, has had the battery replaced, panel gaps you can...

End of Lease - Final Payment under collections

LFS / BoA told me that they send collections to credit agencies after 30 days delinquent, not 90 days.

    BoA lease return logic?

Leasing companies typically have residual value insurance which provides them with protection for declining residuals versus what they originally modeled. If BoA has this, they’re not taking any losses, the insurers (or reinsured behind them) are.

Lucid Air vs. BMW I4 E40

One data point: just had my GT repaired and the tech at the body shop was a former Lucid tech. He drives an i4 and recommended that I get one when I replace my GT. Is Lucid that problematic. In my experience, from start to finish, yes. Others will weigh in.

Lease return excess wear & tear

Not really. The whole issue here is that lease returnees are being hit with charges for items that are not in accordance with Lucid’s guidelines. So what’s the point of Lucid updating / clarifying their guidelines if LFS/BoA are gong to continue ignoring them.

Lease return excess wear & tear

Thank you for the clarity and attention to this issue. Can you confirm that LFS/BoA will abide by these guidelines and definitions of wear and tear please?

Tail Ended right before Lease end - Options

Mine had an accident 2 weeks prior to lease end. It’s been over two months in the shop and is still there so I had to ask for a lease extension, which I’m paying for on a month-to-month basis. I’m turning it in as soon as it’s finished in the shop so let’s see how the lease-end inspection goes…

Lease return excess wear & tear

I didn’t. To clarify, this language was in the cover letter.

Lease return excess wear & tear

I am in the process of returning my leased AGT. I extended my lease for two months and have two observations: - the first paragraph of the lease extension agreement letter starts with “ARS Portfolio Services, LLC provides certain servicing and collections services to Bank of America, N.A. ARS...

Lease return excess wear & tear

I had the same experience. Fender bender 2 weeks prior to lease return. None of the constituencies speak to each other so you have to deal with each independently. You need to get the car repaired before returning to Lucid as that will be covered by insurance. If you don’t, I can’t image the...

    New Lucid Air Delivered Today

What are your plans for NJ winter? Having gone through two of them I’d recommend switching to all season 19s or get a separate winter set.

Great owners club event at Rutherford NJ today. Gravity on full display, Q&A with staff, and a nice touch of giving us Bear logos for our cars. Well done all.

    Lease return difficulties

I hear you. It’s a thought. Am just trying to be proactive and do the right thing, but there’s no logical process here.

    Lease return difficulties

I’m having the exact same issue. It’s a mess. Received the letter from Lucid FS saying call to schedule inspection. Lucid FS / BoA have no idea and no contact who can help. Said to try calling Lucid customer service. Called Lucid customer service who said to call Lucid FS…. The Lucid website...

    OTA Update 2.6.0

Same here. Permanent notification that curb rash is not available (which I can’t turn off). Plus cameras are now a mess, climate settings don’t maintain previous settings, car defaults to in-house navigation upon every new drive, and Drive Assist that only shows the car straddling two lanes and...

    New accelerator curve?

This thread is really helpful asI noticed the same in my 2022 AGT. The phenomenon of no / limited regen in cold temps is a new experience though - I never experienced it last winter. And my efficiency has tanked into the 1s and 2s where it was previously in the 2s and 3s last winter. I’m glad...

Does Anyone Have Regrets? (non-owner asking)

15k miles in with a GT after 10 months. Still can’t decide if it’s worth the mental lottery each time I approach the car to see if it decides to behave or not - will it open, will CarPlay work, will it recognize my phone - these are table stakes these days. The inconsistency in behavior is...

Actual Mileage Efficiency: Real World Drive Anaheim to Palo Alto

That's my experience as well with a GT on 19s. Just did a 300 mile trip out and 300 mile back this weekend, got 4.2 kwh keeping it to 70 MPH with two passengers and luggage plus AC, massaging seats etc. Efficiency appears to be improving on each long trip, or maybe that's just my driving...

    Insane residual on a 2024 LAT @ 18 month lease: 86%

This is the more realistic explanation. The lease deals and economics appear to be geared toward moving volume now, create buzz, show the market they are not a tiny volume manufacturer and survive until Gravity. At at $130k MSRP, they will earn approx $15k from me for my 18 month GT lease...
