About to be a lucid leaser, a few questions please

I'm in Dallas, feels like you definitely need some shading or something for the roof. When we were testing, that glass canopy was HOT in aug/sep. So hot that I went with metal roof and a Touring and that was the primary factor. I'd trust folks like DeaneG if the shade things work! I really...

    USAA Lucid Experience

Weird. My experience was a fast, easy claim with no questions, paid out immediately with no issues. Far better than I expected for a brand new car from a brand new manufacturer. They've actually proactively reached out to send someone to come assess potential claims after major storms, e.g...

    USAA Lucid Experience

I've never banked with them (use NFCU) but had a perfect, smooth, fast experience with them pre, during, and post claim on our Lucid getting front panel and mirror replaced. I don't know why a non-member would expect the same level of service as a member, but that's a whole other data point. I...

    Tow hook license plate holder

FWIW I just installed the license plate holder as designed. Have never understood the desire not to have one. I spent about an hour looking for alternatives and was like "this is dumb why not just do the normal thing." Food for thought.

    Valet parking Lucid Air Touring

Interesting and good to know. Haven't had to valet anywhere yet and feels like I probably won't.

    Valet parking Lucid Air Touring

Does the credit card looking key thing not just let valets drive it at a restricted speed?

    First road trip - TX/OK

Awesome. I will give it a try. And still stand by the point that it's a silly mechanism :)

    First road trip - TX/OK

    ok?

    First road trip - TX/OK

I will try this. I tried a number of different holds, but all of them were like where my hands were on the wheel in semi normal spots, high/low/etc but opposite sides. Torque-wise: do you mean like left to right? or like front to back? Wouldn't left to right torque literally steer the vehicle...

    Wind noise

I just spent 6 hours at ~80mph over two days in my '23 Air Touring and it was far and away the quietest and most comfortable ride I've ever had in a car.

    First road trip - TX/OK

Okie doke: 220 mile trip each way, for a total of 440 miles. Started at 100%, drove the full 220 to my first charging stop. Had the bump mentioned, but then it was ok and charging worked. Half an hour, 35% to 85%. Leg two was back down 80 miles, starting at 80% (did a little driving around...

    First road trip - TX/OK

Better trip home so far. Knew I'd have to stop. So I figured let's try HA at 85 and see what happens. Had me down around 3.4, which dropped down to 3.2 with preconditioning kicked in. Charging up from 45 to 85% right now, which should be more than enough to get home safely. Aside from the...

    First road trip - TX/OK

Final update for today: stopping at 85%. Charging just dipped below 50, and I can always come back here again before heading home if I'm worried about juice. Given I arrived at 35% I'm much less worried now.

    First road trip - TX/OK

Ok subsequent update: maintenance guy was there, he said actually he's just working on one of them and I could pull in, he backed up a bit to make room and kindly offered to help if I needed any. Which is good because there are very few other options and none super close. Pulled in, plugged in...

    First road trip - TX/OK

Alright first challenge. Arrived at the station, in a relatively sparse for options area...and 10 minutes prior to arriving EA posted that this station will be closed starting today and unavailable for an unknown amount of time. Great. Checked everything last night to be sure - what garbage this...

I did not specify but I do have 19s.

    First road trip - TX/OK

Hey fam! I'm doing the first road trip in my beautiful AT this week. Just a little bunny to test it out, around 220 miles of nearly pure highway driving from my house to an EA charging station. Two goals here: 1. Figured I'd check my planning efforts and plan with the gurus here for anything...

Insurer would not cover a Lucid

I think I'm right around $250/mo or so. Felt reasonable. But I stay with USAA because of the service, the fact that they are often a good deal too is just amazing. I'd pay a premium.

    Help with color decision

If your financing was like mine, we made like three months of payments then paid in full with no penalty. Be ready to be annoyed by the payments portal if you try to do anything other than setup autopay (which was fairly smooth).

    Car Mats

I have the tux mats for frunk and trunk. I just have the bottom of trunk. I think i have top and bottom of frunk. Maybe I'm insane but the main result has been that in the frunk, I rarely lift it and use the bottom well now because I don't want to lift the mat and deal with it lol. That same...
