Lucid Air's Number One Software Issue?

No, no way to peer into that data without lifting the (crypto) keys from either end, BLE traffic is also encrypted.

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

For all we know it is built in house. Supply chain problem could mean raw materials or chips or something, not necessarily a whole component.

Lucid Air's Number One Software Issue?

It doesn't. Your Android phone treats it just like a head unit that supports AA. That said, it is a full computer with an internet connection from a Chinese brand nobody has ever heard of that you're sharing your contacts, location, navigation destinations, calendar events, etc. with.

Lucid Air's Number One Software Issue?

Yes and yes. Standard issue NFC card and separate NFC chip in the fob. I've read it with a random NFC reader, though it has proper auth/encryption so not much to do with that. At least if you have an iPhone you'll also notice holding your phone up to the B pillar camera will pop open Apple...

Lucid Air's Number One Software Issue?

No need to break out the spectrum analyzer, install nRF Connect (a great BLE dev/debugging tool from NordicRF) on your phone and you can browse BLE devices. The Air shows up, as do all four corners of my neighbor's Rivian every time he drives by.

Lucid Air's Number One Software Issue?

It's a more complex formula than just that. It definitely takes into consideration the weather and the number of things in your hands.

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

Both. Neither are big problems, both are nuisances. You don't want any bits of dirt under your PPF, and you'd want to do minor paint correction if you pick up any chips on the way to the PPF shop.

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

It definitely varies. They offered to do the whole unveiling thing for me and take pictures, I did not take them up on it. My car was sitting out ready to drive away. They made themselves available, but generally stayed out of the way as I walked around and checked out the car myself. I'd say my...

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

My delivery and orientation were conducted by a DA at the Tysons service center (not studio). That said, you're really not missing out on much if you skip the orientation. They help you set up your phone with the car and basic things like that, they're there to answer questions, but that's about...

    Bluetooth Audio Device/App list

Gotcha. Yeah, that's just not something Android (or iOS) do via Bluetooth, nothing Lucid can do about it. Hopefully an AA-shaped gift shows up soon to solve the problem.

Lucid Air's Number One Software Issue?

For me at least, even on the worst days, mobile key has never actually failed. Sometimes I have to open the app just to give it a kick in the pants to start doing its job, but it's still not actually doing the remote wakeup over the internet before mobile key works. Either way, keep your valet...

Lucid Air's Number One Software Issue?

Neither your car nor your phone needs an internet connection for mobile key to work. It's entirely local Bluetooth. I'd suggest turning off wifi entirely in the car or at least not tethering it to your phone, that will only cause further issues.

    Bluetooth Audio Device/App list

I don't know what any of that is, but I'm also pretty confident none of it matters. If your phone is connected with Bluetooth, the car doesn't have to be (and isn't) aware of what the phone is playing. Whatever apps you play music with on your phone, the audio just comes out through the car.

    Return lease early experience

Like @Andretex said, unless you have in writing that you don't have to pay the remainder of the lease, there is no fight. You signed a contract. Do you still have the car? Can you ask to cancel this process and keep the car instead?

Key fob battery gonna die soon?

Not sure what that means, but you can look at the car's location (and honk it remotely) on your phone?

Anyone know of bidirectional charging status?

What kind of L do you want to run? If it's not too power hungry you can run it off the 180W 12VDC socket in the trunk with an inverter of some sort. I use a battery with a 12VDC input and a built-in inverter, but there's probably something smaller you can get without the battery.

Apparently that’s Maman Joon now, not Cava, oops.

Lucid test drive event in Tysons Corner

Both are malls. Takes 5 minutes to get between them though, so not too big a deal if you show up to the wrong one with time to spare. The picture I saw was definitely at the showroom at Tysons Corner Center, not the service center at the Galleria. Go to the entrance by Cava, Lucid has a section...
