RESOLVED Problems after installing 2.1.52 Update

So, an update on this. @GoFast you were dead on. Water got in by the rear bumper and took out one of the hubs/gateways. However, after all those errors cleared (as you said, dried out), Turtle Mode came on. It's been in for service the past 10 days, and I just got it back this afternoon. Sadly...

Lucid causing Level 2 charger to fault (must reset breaker)

I've got the Ubiquiti charging station (which has a sexy big screen on it - kinda why I wanted it) ;), and it, too, will randomly get an unrecoverable error from the car, where I have to tell it to reboot (I don't have to kill the breaker, and can bounce it from the administration app, but the...

RESOLVED Problems after installing 2.1.52 Update

Oh, I was doing that anyway. Hardware or software, I always want an answer to “why”, because if it’s unknown, then it will likely happen again. Fun issue tonight…. Driving on the freeway tonight (around 65), I had a huge drop in forward thrust and the “Low Power Mode” message came on...

RESOLVED Problems after installing 2.1.52 Update

Actually it was the software update, even the manager that called me felt that was likely the case. Update: they must have hopped in it this evening, as all systems were restored when I went out tonight. This wasn’t just a function of a long “walk-away” reset, as I had done that earlier this...

RESOLVED Problems after installing 2.1.52 Update

Good afternoon, all.... 3 days ago, I received my update notification for the 2.1.52 release. In the release notes, one thing that was touted was "And for Lucid Owner's Forum members, we have added WAY more robustness !!". Well, sadly, nope.... While driving to a meeting today, I got a whole...

Frunk was frozen shut this morning and tore the gaskets

I’ve had a similar problem, to the point of it ripping off the rubber adhesive-backed seal on the car side (not yours which looks to be around the port on the trunk lid). They repaired it and that hasn’t happened since, but it does get stuck quite often in cold weather. What I do is have my wife...

    Rear Deck Creaking Noise

This is now an known issue with Lucid. If it’s reported, as long as they can identify which areas are creaking on the strip/plank, they have the fix, and it is some sort of adhesive foam tape.

    Visor Rechargeable Batteries solution...

Oh, hah. Apologies then. I thought you were saying, essentially, "if it annoyed you, you should have taken that into consideration when getting it". (which, obviously I did - I mean, don't get me started on the cell phone chargers) :)

    Visor Rechargeable Batteries solution...

Ummm. I appreciate the lecture, but I did just that (evaluated and made my purchase decision). That dooesn't mean I can't still find it annoying or even share that annoyance with others on the off chance others may have found a way to reduce it. Nor does said evaluation preclude me from possibly...

    Visor Rechargeable Batteries solution...

Good afternoon, all. So, it's always annoyed me that we're driving rolling batteries, yet we have to put batteries into the visors. It would have been far more elegant to run a tiny thread of ultra-thin 2-conductor from the A pillar to the visor mount, and never have to worry about...

iPhone MagSafe mount to replace OEM charging pad.

So, I didn’t realize that, but I still find it annoying that you have to remove it to get to the actual cubby. There’s no place to place it while you’re digging in the cubby. To me, this solution makes the original charger locations actually useful again, while maintaining all other design...

iPhone MagSafe mount to replace OEM charging pad.

I know it can come out, but it's in the way. It basically renders the gorgeous wood rolltop useless.

iPhone MagSafe mount to replace OEM charging pad.

I did not care for the TWraps solution because it basically sacrificed the entire cubby. And the lighting on the disc was for the desire to have a visible guide to where to place your phone (charging status was a bonus). And of course, CarPlay battery status only shows when CarPlay is the...

iPhone MagSafe mount to replace OEM charging pad.

I wanted to post some details on what I'm setting up, in case others wanted to.... refine a bit. :). Bobby, being the cool guy he is, is sending me two of his 3D Printed fixes to Lucid's lapse in Qi charging judgement... I thought it would be nice (at night) to see charging status and see...

iPhone MagSafe mount to replace OEM charging pad.

Apologies, I only saw (and still only see) the one pic - but from what I've put together, it looks like it's surface mount (which on a bigger iphone, the camera is like a "wart" anyway, so surface mount is best anyway). I found a couple that have a nice little light ring on them so it's easy to...

iPhone MagSafe mount to replace OEM charging pad.

I would love to purchase 2 from you, if you wouldn't mind . The native charger destroys the Apple silicone case anyway, so I was always looking for something that would pry the rubber bubble on Lucid's open a bit more (yet, still left to solve the concern everyone else has had with the stupid...

Lucid Charger (failures and design oddities)

Also, just a recommendation for folks.... If you're paying to have ANY brand charger installed, have them also install a NEMA 14-50 (dryer) outlet near the charger. In my case, the charging unit was outside, but the plug-in outlet was inside the garage (since it has no inherent security like...

Lucid Charger (failures and design oddities)

Here's some better pics of the hardwired install (and all the stuff it comes with if you're doing "plug-in" install)... Note, the handle has a place to latch (and it can be on either side, depending on where you want it), and that it has pushbutton release to get in it (locked by a hex screw...

Lucid Charger (failures and design oddities)

Let me be clear in my comments - from what I saw on the Lucid charger, the power was in it's body, yes - but so was the output cable. Which means, essentially, all that was needed in the shell was the contactor, and possibly the ring that monitors power flow (though, that, too, could have been...
