    Tesla lays off Supercharger team

I'm embarrassed I don't know this, but can someone answer the basic question? Was Lucid, is Lucid, planning to make it possible for us to use Tesla superchargers? If so, does Musk's latest craziness set that back? Adding the Tesla superchargers to our set of possible charging stations would...

    CarPlay is here! - Megathread

I have this problem, too. I haven’t tried resetting; I just wait and hope. There’s definitely an instability or flakiness.

How can I override Auto Add Charging Stations?

Can I re-emphasize this question? Is there really no way to delete or change charging stops that the navigation system adds automatically to your journey? It can be quite a nuisance, and it seems inconceivable! I do hope I’m being stupid (which is all too possible).

How can I override Auto Add Charging Stations?

I can add one, but I can’t see how to delete one.

Suggestion to make it easier to deal with variable effective range

I agree that “expected miles on arrival” is amazingly accurate. How can we explain the difference between this excellent computed number and the overall number (outside of the navigation system) for miles remaining—which we all know is just an optimistic starting point. I hope it’s not...

How can I override Auto Add Charging Stations?

I just took a long trip (350 miles each way) and, as expected, the car performed beautifully. I drive reasonably fast and didn’t expect to get my full 515 miles of range, but there was plenty to spare. There was a problem, though. The navigation system is extremely conservative about telling...

    RESOLVED Is motor whine normal?

I can’t agree. I find the noise irritating even now. It’s an evident flaw. By definition it’s energy-inefficient. I understand the mentality that leads people to disable mufflers because they like a big roar, but I don’t share it.

    bent rim, flat tire

I’ve posted some complaints before, so here’s the opposite. I hit a pothole (?!) at high speed and dented a wheel pretty badly. Limped home. Lucid has sent a mobile service van and totally taken care of the problem. Really first-rate service. That is all.

Passenger door handle broken / grinding

Mine was repaired promptly by a mobile technician.

    CarPlay is here! - Megathread

Is this heresy? It seems right to me. If you use a navigation app via CarPlay, it’s a single tiny screen. The Lucid navigation app gives you a large Pilot Panel overview plus the turn-by-turn directions right where you need them, in the middle-right Cockpit display. No comparison. All the more...

    CarPlay is here! - Megathread

To be clear, you can use them simultaneously but you can’t see them simultaneously? It’s not really meaningful to be “using” the Lucid mapping system if it’s invisible, I think. When you use CarPlay, what DO you do with the pilot panel? Maybe people have found uses I haven’t thought of.

    CarPlay is here! - Megathread

I wonder if I’m missing something. I’ve been eagerly awaiting CarPlay, and now that it’s here it looks fine (with the background changed to black) and works fine, but … When you use CarPlay, what are y’all doing with the lovely large Pilot Panel? I always like having the map there while I’m...

Passenger door handle broken / grinding

I have exactly this problem now with the left rear door handle. Awaiting service.

    Frunk? “Turtle mode”?

It’s all too clear that Lucid has underinvested in service. The infrastructure is not there, and they are understaffed, even for the small number of cars on the road. I pray that this shortsightedness doesn’t kill the company.

    2.0.52

Props to Lucid for providing detailed release notes. A welcome change. Maybe they’re listening.

    New CarPlay

“False advertising” is a strong accusation. Still, when I first looked at the car in the NYC showroom a year ago, the sales team there told me it would definitely have CarPlay. Just one data point for sure. If we really think the car is just “CarPlay compatible,” why is there an entire subgroup...

    The nuclear reboot

In the absence of further official communication or documentation about resets, I'm going to propose a theory, which should be considered entirely unreliable: Apart from the forbidden reboot, ALL the reset procedures (the valet-card, the Bobby, the turn-signal ... I can't keep track), are in...

    The nuclear reboot

This seems a perfect example of Lucid’s ongoing failure to communicate with owners. If there’s something they urgently want us to know—something users are doing that could “damage the vehicle”—does it make sense for them to send a message by Bunnylebowski Express? (No offense, Bunny! Better you...

    Frunk? “Turtle mode”?

Aha! It‘s not undocumented after all. It’s called Limited Power Mode. Thank you.
