    Lucid Air towing issue

I suppose I should have been more clear. The driver side door being open does not necessitate that the car is in Park. I have driven the car with the driver door open on a rare occasion for parking purposes. Passengers can open their doors without the car going into park. Regardless, OP isn't...

    Lucid Air towing issue

I don't have to try. I know. I've had two Lucids at this point plus a handful of loaners. There is only one way to put the car into park from the car. That's by pushing in the button on the right gear shaft. So what this sounds like is that the car was in drive. Either it was in hold mode...

    Lucid Air towing issue

Opening the car door does not automatically put the car into park.

    Lucid Air towing issue

Apologies for the multiple posts. The flashing lights were due to the proximity of the key. Jostling in the cab triggered the key to turn on that the car then detected. Eventually, the car just goes back to sleep.

    Lucid Air towing issue

The gentleman is the towing person in this case. A BOL is likely the job description for the tow with identification details for the car, owner, and anything else that may be relevant.

    Lucid Air towing issue

No offense, but it sounds like you did not properly secure the car. A set of tires would have made little difference given the total weight of the car. All four wheels were always strapped down thoroughly. I see two straps at most in the photo. On the surface, this simply seems like steps at...

    When to replace tires

You have a few options. 1) Purchase from TireRack with delivery to a local tire shop to mount and balance. 2) Schedule an appointment with a Lucid Service Center to get it done. I've attached the tire information. May be worth stopping by your local tire shop to see if they need to be...

Lucid Cancelled my Air GT Reservation

Not sure what you want. Deposits mention being refundable with no mention of interest. The email was brief and to the point to let you know what was happening. While you may be upset about not getting a Lucid Air GT (I would be too), the terms and agreement are certainly made plain when...

Pirelli P Zero PZ5 Was Born from Artificial Intelligence

Hence the quotes in my post around "AI". Essentially, anything that a computer does in a semi-automatic or automatic manner nowadays is labeled as AI. I work in the physical simulation spaces. There is not an AI (eg. Artificial Intelligence) aka "intelligence" of the machine in this space or...

Pirelli P Zero PZ5 Was Born from Artificial Intelligence

Something legitimate for once of the use of "AI". This appears to be stimulation studies where the computer has been given a set of parameters to tune that normally a person would tune. Great things. Legitimate use cases. Hope to see the new tire on the next set, and may it be sturdy enough to...

    OTA Update 2.6.16

Has anyone seen issues with valet cards being invalidated? Ours no longer works.

    Cross Bar installation

There is an extensive thread on the crossbars and bike mount rack. That aside, could one of you with the "new" crossbars snap a photo of the contact material? Is it still the flimsy crap foam, or has it been replaced with a rubber material/anything infinitely better than foam?

Connected Home Charger - Speed Decreasing on 100A Circuit

If folks are interested, we experienced this issue in Alabama with our first GT. There were essentially a few things happening: - Cable gets hot and used to shut off (may only derate nowadays). - Garage gets hot. - Car fans kick on to try to cool to no avail. - Ultimately, the charger had an...

The frequent advice to restart the car signals to me caches are not clearing entirely during updates.

    OTA Update 2.6.16

Did a 21 mile one way test in Smooth averaging around 60mph for 15 miles and 40 mph for 5 miles. 400lbs between four passengers and beach stuff. 75 degrees and flat along the Florida coast. Same conditions on the return trip with no cars in front or behind. Air conditioning was running only to...

    When to replace tires

2/32 is the legal limit. Drove mine to between 3-4/32. No real strong opinions on the matter. Over time you get conditioned to the grip level and noise level. The new LM2 have a slightly harsher ride (not noticeable after a few days). Grip is better, but whether that is from the newness or...

    Update 2.6.16

Does this include GT-P and DEs as well for efficiency gains? I've seen those not referenced more and more (makes sense to not confuse folks).

What to Expect: Repair and Labor Costs After Warranty

I have a supplement that eventually led to the totaling of the car covering a significant number of parts. This was pre adjustment from the insurance company on parts, labor hours, and pricing. Expect $150+ hourly rates for labor. If you had specific parts in mind, I can likely find it in the...

Battery Losing Range at Low SOC

I went from 5% to 1% overnight after a 7.5 hour drive. Was the conclusion from this thread that it should be brought up to customer service? Considering it myself since this is the first time even at very low states of charge this has occurred.
