Email from Lucid: "Don’t miss out—10 days left to secure your original pricing."

I wouldn't discourage purchasing an EV. We've driven our Teslas over 120,000 miles from Whistler to Savannah and everywhere in between. After over 150 unique superchargers visited, we only waited once, for five minutes, at Thanksgiving. So, waiting hasn't been an issue for us. That said, it is...

    VinFast infotainment

Thanks @HC_79 for sharing Kyle's video. I really respect his opinion since he has reviewed so many EVs. I didn't get the same sense of refinement in the UX nor the vehicle itself. I've worked in UX for almost thirty years now, so perhaps I'm a bit more picky. (Especially compared to, say...

Ordering and Delivery: Lucid Air Pure

My experience with Model 3 without FSD, just base autopilot which includes adaptive cruise and lane centering for free, has been a life saver for me as well. Both heavy traffic and long road trips are so much more manageable, especially lane centering. Fingers crossed that Lucid brings back lane...

Tesla finally blinks on the Yoke

I test drove the 2022 LR S with Yoke. It wasn't horrible, and the view in front was nice. That said, given the choice, I'd still choose the wheel.

    Volvo EX90 at CES 2023

It looks cleaner to me than the Polestar 3, which in photos looks unnecessarily complex in the headlights and area between them. That said, I'm more interested in the Gravity, since I assume it will use cylindrical cells as the Air does.

    Touring Test drive impressions

I finally saw the Cosmos Silver at the Beverly Hills store, and in person, it went from last place to first for me. And yes, I changed my reservation to CS.

    [Pure] Interior Pictures

Thanks so much. I'm further down on the reservation list, so I'm hopeful Lucid addresses it by then.

This is wonderful, thank you. Did you have a chance to compare it side by side with a Touring or Grand Touring? I'm specifically curious to see if Lucid has solved the telescoping steering wheel issue for taller drivers.

    Wind noise

In the past, I've used masking tape on the outside of the car to track down where the wind noise was. Like @bobofat, I then used some weather stripping to cover the leak.

Ordering and Delivery: Lucid Air Pure

Noobzilla, great photos, thanks much for sharing. One question: how is the interior accent lighting? Same as the Touring? I read somewhere (unconfirmed) that the ceiling light strip to the rear view mirror is missing in the Pure. Thanks.

Ordering and Delivery: Lucid Air Pure

I'm considering removing the seat backs and taking them to an upholstery shop to add a textile fabric to the tops, similar to the higher end vehicles. Not sure if it's possible, but something to consider.

    A New Adventure Starts

Thanks, very helpful info. We do a lot of EV long-distance travel in our Teslas and we also have to remind ourselves about 30 minutes before charging to start drinking water so we time our bio-breaks while we wait.

    A New Adventure Starts

Very informative and entertaining read. Thank you! Question: Did you precondition the battery before your DC fast charging sessions? I read that you did in Yreka, CA, but I'm not sure if the 2.0.x software will precondition the battery pack when a EA charging stop is programmed into the nav or...

Warning: Eye strain, Split vision, and headache for tall drivers

Thanks, I have my fingers crossed. If they can fix the steering column issue and work out the EA charging issues, I think it will be a fabulous car and give MB, etc. a lot of competition.

Warning: Eye strain, Split vision, and headache for tall drivers

Completely 100% agreed! I've reached out to as many people at Lucid as I can to try to get the message to the Lucid product team. Is Zak on these forums? Can he help us get the message to the correct folks? They really need to fix the telescoping steering column to come closer to the driver...

    EA positive story

I'm still hopeful Tesla opens their Supercharging network to other EVs. This could offer the best of both worlds: Supercharger ubiquity and reliability while driving the Air. I've been to nearly 150 different Superchargers nationwide and only had to change stalls three times because of an issue...

First Impressions: Store Visit & Test Drive

It would be funny to do another test drive and ask for a drive-thru test.

    Feedback/improvements for the Air!

Thanks and good point. I'm very hopeful for a running change, as Tesla seems to continually do with their vehicles.

    Feedback/improvements for the Air!

I posted this in my review thread, so I apologize if you see this twice, but I want to make sure the Lucid product team sees this: The telescoping steering wheel on the production vehicles needs to come closer to the driver by at least one inch for drivers that are 6'3" or larger with long...

First Impressions: Store Visit & Test Drive

Nice job! Thank you. I'll reach out to them as well to share my interest. Perhaps they are waiting on more demand.
